Yeah I get that, I meant he should be used to smashing the ball into the net more than Lovren should!
Same, I don't think he'll get **** for it - just never should have been taking the fifth. Sterling was a bottle job all night and cherry on top for backing out of taking one
Agree with this. I was getting annoyed with Mario for walking around in the second half before he went off but tbh, I can't blame him. Having those two nearby doing ****all must have been very disheartening! Not many players come out of that with any credit. Only one if say is Lallana, he worked hard and did not than anyone else after being introduced.
Sturridge probably cost us the tie. Been a ****ing ball hog in both games, He's trying too hard to grab headlines, BR needs to have a word with him, it's not all about him scoring goals. We should of murdered them at home, and countless chances this game aswell, just didn't capitalize when we were on top,
Come join the party! #allparttimersnow Silver lining is you played 120 mins and hopefully knocks your team a bit mentally as well. That's about it. Would have been happy with a 2-1 loss to you tonight but still going through.
Sterling has been dogshit away in Europe this season. Can't believe why any top European club is so interested in him - agent talk?
Guess we'll just have to enjoy not playing some jarg team just before our Swansea and Man Utd games #brightside
Imo we badly missed Gerrard and Lucas tonight. If we had just one of those two on the pitch they would have marshalled the team against going too deep so early in the 2nd half inviting so much pressure
I didn't like that at all. Its about the team, not the one individual. Liverpool were strong in the last ten mins, and him dissing his Manager by acting like a petulant child could easily have effected his teams focus. Unlucky tonight. At least you'll be in it next season.
As soon as I saw Lovren I knew he'd miss, and miss bad....But even if Sterling stepped up and scored, penalties would continue, and eventually Lovren would have to take one, not like you had many options with no Gerrard, Baloteli, Sturridge, and Hendo, basically 3 of the guys who fought for a penalty weren't on the pitch and your other top penalty maker Gerrard wasn't there either.
Not sour grapes tobes, but you're welcome to the Europa and I hope you do well in it (I do!), considering you probably don't have any other distractions. But it was the manner of it - we looked like a pub team tonight, but even so, Besiktas were so **** in the first half we could still easily have put the tie to bed. They probably got their confidence in the second half knowing that no matter what they did or risks they took that we would never score. And as for waiting so long to take a forward off until after they'd scored... Reality check anyway. #fewspawnywinsgoteveryoneexcited
