I think this all is all at sturridge's door. He should have scored when he had the chances and we were on top. It is easy to blame the coach but I am looking at the very good chances we had to score the goal to kill off the tie.

We did when it REALLY mattered. Now us, Spurs and probably Arsenal and City are out of Europe its going to put a lot more pressure on the two part time clubs that have had an easy season by comparison.

Being a forward doesn't mean you're good at penalties. Penalties are about mentality control not pace! Agree about not blaming Lovren though. Should have won the game in the first half.
We were awful in Europe this season. Dreadful in the CL and out of the Europa at the first time of asking. Who said our team was so great??
Gutted would have loved to win this but onwards and upwards. Need to get back to the way we were playing beforehand rather than the dreadful stuff we played today.
I was actually disgusted with Sturridge and Sterling tonight. They were ****ing awful, Sterling just looking for a foul every time and pretty static, Sturridge just trying to be messi all the time - BR needs to drill the ****ing team game **** down his throat again me thinks
I feel really bad for Lovren, he should never be taking the most important pen, especially when he's going through a confidence crisis. He's probably never going to recover from that. I was hoping Moreno would take it.
