It's a good job Arsenal got an easy draw in the last 16 unlike City and Chelsea :emoticon-0175-drunk

Switched over just in time to see that Carrasco goal. Great strike! Looks like Arsenal could be facing going out before the quarters yet again. We only had one crack at the CL and we got further than both City and Arsenal have since, the PL should award us the place next year to stop us slipping down the rankings! <laugh>

Was it just being his usual poor loser or were there any issues in the match?

I thought we were poor v west ham!
Monaco had 5 of theircfirst team out...that has to rank as one of the worst home performances in the CL by an English side

Bad news for you guys, really. Wenger has less games now and can focus on winning his fourth place trophy, which will give him the chance to get knocked in last 16 in 2016, and repeat...

I think Utd are the vulnerable ones <ok>

Was Wenger sulking by not shaking hands. Haven't seen it mentioned on your board, but poor show if true.

I had never seen such a scowl on a coach's face as the one on Wenger's boat tonight. Monaco played very very well and Berb's strike was good. Their first was a big deflection but against Arsenal......................who cares?

I would love to say that you should back the Gills now unbeaten in 7 and only 3 pts behind 6th placed Bradford, but if I was a betting man my money would be on Bradford.

The play offs for this division could well include both Bradford and Sheff Utd, and given both sides cup exploits would make them very confident in the play off format.

Wenegr was being a sore loser as usual, he is an utter prick when he gets beat.

United might be struggling, but Liverpool are not. They are looking good again and have some cracking players in Can,Sterling,Ibe,Countinho, sturridge and Markovic.

Nah, was just looking at it from your side of things. Us playing two more games in the CL and having our focus on that would have affected our legaue form, now Wenger has a clear run to secure his beloved fourth placed trophy.

You've still got at least one FA Cup match, plus matches with the Chavs, Mousers and Man Utd in your run-in. Similarly, the Mousers have the Europa League and FA Cup, plus league games with both Manchester clubs and Chelsea (as well as one with Arsenal)

Van Galling has the worst run-in, though: Spurs and Liverpool back-to-back in March, City and the Chavs back-to-back in April, and Arsenal on the penultimate weekend.

Tv people asking what Wenger's excuse will be this season. How many seasons is this and they still can't win it!
Perhaps in 2051......and he'll still be their manager!

Man City going the same way! They'll both have to buy Real and Barcelona to win it.....

Has the Champions League this season shown up just how poor managers are in the Premier League at the moment? With so much money sloshing around from the TV deals and Champions League, have managers just resorted to buying any old player for as much money as they can (Ozil, Di Maria, Fernandinho, Willian, Carroll(!), etc) in the hope that it makes them better? They don't seem to building teams anymore, just trying to recreate English versions of the Galacticos (which worked so well for Madrid in the past!).

Wenger just bought tons of youth to ensure at least a couple made it then threw a strop and bought Ozil to shut everybody up. Now bought a centre back who can't speak English and will have no impact on this campaign. Pellegrini buys forwards by the dozen and changes them every six months while defensively they seem to be starting to creak. Liverpool made the same mistake as us and spent tons of money (twice) with variable success and loads of disruption (though jury still out on Liverpool: The Splurging Part II). Van Gaal has gone for a charge of the Light Brigade style of football by buying every attacking player that would join them while ignoring a defense which is as sound as the Rouble. I suppose Chelsea are doing ok because at least Mourinhio has a plan which is to bore everyone to death and win at all cost (be it cheating, intimidation, negativity, money, threat of the salt mines, etc). Is there any method in this madness? Or just spend, spend, spend until something works?
