Had a great chat with Liam Rosenior tonight, he was with his brother and his missus but he didn't mind chatting to me. I asked him about his injury and how he was getting on and he said he's way ahead of where he should be. The physios had originally pencilled him in for April, but he's already doing 5 days a week full training and is expected back mid March. Snodgrass is currently up in Scotland spending time with family, but he's on course and doing well. Rosenior is also getting a decent go at coaching and it's something the club are more than willing to help him out with, which he's very grateful for. I asked him (because it's something I've always wondered) why he never chose to play for Sierra Leone, especially given that a) his father did and b) the links Hull has to the capital. He said that there is a lot of corruption over there with regards to their FA and even down to who picks the team, which I suppose is understandable. He also said that because he has 4 kids, he uses the international break to spend time with them, something he couldn't do if he was thousands of miles away. Rosie was keen to point out that it is something he's wanting to do down the line (I made a joke about England calling first and he laughed it off and said that boat had sailed) and would be interested if he got the call at the right time. Davies is also eligible and apparently has the same reasoning. What a thoroughly nice bloke he is, I know he comes across as such in interviews and the like, but I never realised he was that down to Earth, it was a real pleasure talking to him and I only hope for the best for him. Glad we have him at our club, he has our best interests at heart and he loves the area. I hope he ends his career here.
His dad seems a nice fella too - on the telly seems very knowledgeable & astute...Jr may well end up a good manager.
So sick of this site on my phone, I've given up going back over stuff. I just assume people will be able to read through the bullshit mistakes.
I've never met him or Curtis but seen them talking on TV a few times and they both seem to be well grounded and thoroughly nice guys. I hope Liam will stay with the club in a coaching capacity when his playing career is over. Meanwhile its good to hear he'll soon be available again as he never lets us down wherever he plays.
Liam Rosenior - He's just a class act. I hope he stays with the club - he's an excellent ambassador for the club and region.
He comes across very well, as does his father, a thousand percent better than Garth Crooks, who I cannot stand his big headed attitude.
