I never did like the Sewer man but I quite enjoy the thought he may have got City eliminated! Then I hope Barca get beat by Real in the next round. I used to be behind most British teams once upon a time, but no longer!......except us.
Well, there not exactly British anymore are they. Is any club? Foreign managers, foreign owners, hardly a British player in sight and stands filled with plastics, tourists and prawn sandwich munchers. Who is there to support in the Man City, Chelsea, Arsen*l or Liverpool teams? Overpriced prima donnas with a sense of entitlement means there aren't even any individuals to root for usually.
Clichy off. Game over again. And more surrounding of the ref and man-handling him. Players rushing in to protest even though they were miles away and probably didn't see the challenge anyway.
I thought Clichy was a bit unlucky. He clearly went for the ball, tried to pull out when he realised he was t going to get it, but Alves made the most of the theatrics, and off he goes....
High feet always run the risk of a yellow though, especially if contact, however slight, is made. If you are on a yellow and make that kind of challenge, in todays game you probably have a 50-50 chance of getting sent off. A better player would not have made that challenge in the 1st place. Speaking of better players..... Is this Bony's debut for City? He looks a bit lost and out of his depth (unsurprisingly against Barcelona).
Hart was my man of the match even before the penalty, made some great saves that kept City in it, especially in the first half. City just about in it still, go to Barcelona and reproduce that second half performance and they'll have every chance of winning the tie, play like they did in the first half and they'll be in for a hiding. Big Sam would've blown for full time before Messi's diving header but yet another referee disagrees with him
I expect it's a challenge that Clichy regrets making, but he had every right to challenge for that ball - Alves' foot was high too.
Hi YV. Hope you took my advice a couple of months go and backed Bristol Rovers for the Conference. They went top tonight. They have been grinding out results for months now and even two weeks ago, you could have got 4/1 on them for the title. I don't know what they are after tonight's result, but lump on if you can find value. .
Barnet have gone off the boil at the same time too. Who would you back for 6th and the last play-off place in League 1? 6th to 17th currently separated by 5 points!!
Barcelona were a bit casual in the second half because they probably thought they'd won it. Ok you footballers, please tell me the advantage of taking a short corner because Barca totally wasted whatever tactical advantage they are.
Nah, I don't usually go for season long bets. I don't bet big enough for it to be worth my while. £20 budget most weeks, I took £160 out in January but it's been downhill in February since the Arsenal game for me I go for a Bristol City and Rovers double most weeks which served me well for awhile at least, City let me down on the weekend. Saw Barnet lost at home on the weekend though, was starting to think Rovers were going to drift away. Brentford beat Bournemouth on the weekend Just looked at their result tonight, 4-0 against Blackpool is pretty much parr these days but 42 shots?! BBC have got that wrong surely!
Going by the minute-by-minute thing, I'm not sure that they have. Blackpool had a man sent off at the end of the first half and the second seems to just be Brentford shooting. Missed, saved, blocked, repeat.
Crazy stuff. It's been a farce from the start for them, got to feel sorry for their fans, it's got to be bad enough having to live in Blackpool.
