Tan is standing up for his beliefs - nothing wrong there. Whelan and MacKay have shown their true colours.

Much to do about nothing, Tan is not squeaky clean, how could he be with the dictatorship he is aligned with in Malaysia. Race plays a large role in Malaysian politics, recent Malay Government Legislation and policies provide preferential treatment to Malays over non-Malays in employment, education, scholarships, business, and access to cheaper housing and assisted savings. While improving in the economic position of Malays, it is a source of resentment amongst non-Malays? While Tan may well be of Chinese extraction he has gained his wealth due to close association with prominent Malay political figures, who have subjected both the MCA (representing Chinese), and the MIC (representing Indians), you'd think he would be fighting for 'Racial Equality', given his roots, so It's a bit rich Tan playing the Race Card here, the guy is such a Numpty who in all seriousness pays any attention to the idiot .............<ok>

Don't be so simplistic bob, what beliefs exactly? I'm all ears. Maybe I missed his trumpet calls for Racial Equality back home............<laugh>

I agree Dragon. The man's a hypocrite. One of my best friends is from that part of the world and she tells me racism and corruption is everywhere in society. Only Western Societies beat themselves up over political correctness and it's a disease. I'm against racism but people should not be crucified over privately held beliefs which are part of our individual freedoms provided we don't harm others.

Whelan and Mackay's comments were foolish but this is just a publicity stunt by Tan.

I can't see what sort of revenge it is not to take your directors to an away game. Wigan won't give a damn, nor should they.

I wonder what else you'd call it, by making an announcement like Tan has it's brought Wigan into the spotlight for the wrong reasons .

"The average Malaysian Chinese survived and thrived in spite of Mahathir, the BN and the NEP, and not thanks to them or Vincent Tan or Robert Kuok. And these guys know it. As Francis Yeoh once said, even they had to give back 30% to the BN. But it is the ordinary Chinese youth who had to sweat and toil the extra mile just to be successful. Job opportunities are closed to them, so are places in schools and universities. Many have no choice but to go to Singapore and then be labelled as betrayers back in their homeland," PKR vice president Chua Jui Meng told Malaysia Chronicle.

As Mrs Miggins has rightly stated Tan is a hypocrite as well as an Idiot.............<ok>
