I don't get why we don't see more of Stambouli, is he injured right now? He's very good cover for Bentaleb and Mason IMO. Eriksen, Chadli and Kane are more difficult to find replacements to though.

It was Clive Thomas in the 1978 World Cup. <ok>.

When the announcement of 5 minutes extra time was announced, the clock on the big screens was showing 13:47, so at least a 13:52 finish. At 13:53 the penalty had still not been awarded so 6 minutes extra had already been added. Guess that's why Sam is moaning.

The foul was awarded with 4 mins 50 on the clock. They had a minimum of 10 seconds to hold out. Was definitely within the alloted time. Just.

Given the number of West Ham players that went down, needed treatment, then immediately came back on as soon as play resumed, Allardyce can't moan about virtually any amount of time being added on.
The only time that any of them were genuinely injured, in the case of Carlton Cole, he was instantly replaced.

It was in an FA Cup tie between Old Wimbledon and Wrexham in the late 90s.

Everton got gypped a couple of seasons back when the ref blew despite them having the ball about 25 yard from Man Utd's goal, which Twat Sam probably thinks is some kind of precedent...

I think YV is talking about the World cup in 74/78 when Clive Thomas blew just as the Brazilian header was crossing the line.

Other than not touching the ball, putting his left hand across Kane’s chest, hooking Kane’s shoulder with his right, and stepping on Kane’s left foot, it was never a pen.

I should mention that I wasn’t at all sure it was a pen in real time. As it is, I think the problem with Kane and pens is that he’s been robbed of two or three he should have had this year.

After failing to send off noble and allowing an offside goal, at least the referee had the bottle to award the last minute penalty for the foul on Kane, unlike that crook at St Mary`s who cheated Saints all match long.

Yeah the ref was **** Sunday, the penalty was one of the only decisions he got right, though I'm getting accustomed to this now, it's beyond a joke but it doesn't seem anything will happen to these incompetent fools taking charge of high level football among elite athletes.

The game was a weird one, we never really hit top gear apart from the first and last 10 minutes but I never felt West Ham were the better team either, they had a good couple of chances but most were from counter attacks. West Ham really pissed me off though with their constant falling over, and when they weren't falling over, ****ers like Noble were getting away with dirty challenges, how he wasn't sent off for that challenge on Nabil while he was already on the yellow I'll never know.

Dembele and Lamela were woeful, not sure how Lamela stayed on the pitch, I thought Andros was causing the West Ham defence more problems with his direct running and was surprised he was the wide man that was subbed off. No one really stood out for me, Rose done ok, as did Bentaleb but the rest of the team didn't really show the fire I was hoping for in an important London derby. I think the Final is making our lads more reserved in their approach to games as no ones wants an injury or suspension before the big game, which in a way is understandable but as a fan of the club I'd like to see committed performances from who ever plays, whether it's a final against Chelsea or an away fixture in Europa against FC Made-up-is-stan.

Fat Sam's comments made me laugh, complains about the "NFL Timekeeping" despite the fact his side - especially Adrian - were happy to time waste from the moment they got the first goal, if anything 5 minutes wasn't enough! As for them "being too honest", haha, what a ****ing joke, they fell over umpteen times and feigned injuries on multiple occasions.

Was brilliant to get the equaliser and see their fans truly devastated (especially having been singing "it's happening again!") but ultimately it was only a draw in a game where I think we could have really done with a win.

Onto the next one though, hope we progress in Europa but also hope Poch chooses the team for that one with caution, I'd prefer a 100% fit first team for the Chelsea game and would hate it if any key players were risked in Italy and picked up an injury.

It’s a horrible fixture pileup. I hate to leave Europa qualifications to the reserves in a year when we may have as good a chance as anyone, but playing Chelsea in a Cup Final with tired players seems an even worse option. I would also always vote to optimize for something: play the first team somewhere. My quarrel with the selections the last two games was that our best team didn’t start either game. We had been alternating the first team with a half reserve side.

Chelsea's results of late haven't been impressive have they and at times neither has their football. 1-1 at fortress Stamford Bridge against relegation candidates is just not a good sign for them and I don't believe it was because they had their minds on the final. We've beaten Chelsea before at Wembley but the way both teams are playing I don't expect a classic.

We rely very heavily on Kane and he's yet to play a full season for us so we have to wait and see whether or not he has the staying power. This fixture build up as well is concerning.

Could be right tots. I don't think we'll get top four so we must concentrate on the final and the EL. I've seen teams draw at home and win away before and with two strikers up front we can do it.
