I often wonder if these people, when watching a game on tv, turn the match off with 5 or 10 minutes to go and say "oh **** it, I'll go and make a cup of tea and I'll listen to the result a bit later or catch it on the red button." Seems to me this is exactly the same thing.

At what point did Phelan try and rouse the crowd? Was it before or after the exodus started?

Some people leave their seat but watch from the entrance to the stand or on the screens on the concourse. Those are lucky they didn't miss the goal.

Some people leave altogether and so they deserved to miss the goal. Idiots.

    Straight after the goal.

7 points from 9 with him in. Relegation? What relegation?

I don't object to anyone leaving early so long as they don't stop me getting off Walton street car park. My best time for a journey back was last week after the villa match, 1 hour 40 minutes and back home at 23.20. Saturday was the usual 2 hours but still home for 7pm. Bloody knackering my knees running to the car though.

    Why don't you park elsewhere?

    Knobhead post !

As i said above , for evening kick offs i have to be at work for 10pm so i have to leave around 25 past 9 . - regardless of the scoreline .

I could just not turn up at all for the game and make my evening such a breeze in getting to work .
Since my hours changed ive had to miss so much of Citys games (Saturday afternoons can be tricky)

I have to do the same when i go to support my son in his band , i often have to leave during his set

    **** you

Totally understand after 45 years of shift work it use to a nightmare, sorting cover out for my shift's so I could see city play, then I had to pay it back which usually meant working one off my two day's off now I'm retired the problem gone away thank god. People who do shift work know were your coming from.

I travel with someone older than me who prefers to park on Walton street (although he wasn't at last weeks night match. I used his pass).

You have a good reason. And deserve credit for attending when you have to leave early. But all those who troop out every time we play on a Saturday with 10 minutes to go aren't going to start a shift.

Haven't done it for a while now thinking about it but I used to get off a few minutes early to avoid the usual bollocks getting on to the railway overpass (never for a game hanging in the balance though). I'd regularly be abused by the mate I sit next to screaming poodle at me loud enough to ensure everyone looked my way - a tad embarrassing but he seemed to enjoy it. My reasoning to him was basically, I pay for my ticket, I can leave when I want - **** you. Haven't missed a season ticket since we moved to the KC so hardly a tourist.

Its a football thing. Never seen it at the pictures, theatre, or a pop concert.

I've never done it. I don't know why so many do, at all clubs, we're not the worst ffs, but if people want to leave early just to get home a bit earlier, that's their choice.

Sunderland away last year was ridiculous. The Stadium of Light was about 20% full by time the ref blew for full time.

Some on here put Sunderland fans on a pedestal but they were ****ing awful that day.

    Absolutely shocking support.
