Saw him in his new role for the first time today. I was impressed. Any opinions ? Far better than most I've seen in the last 15 years.
I've seen him as a pundit a few times and I think he talks a lot of sense and is just honest with his opinion which is all you can ask for. Easy to forget what a great player he was when fit.
Jenas is one of the better pundits. There are so many bad ones, Michael Owen called Robertson 'Robinson' all game in a match recently, despite the co-commentator clearly saying 'Robertson' all the time, and Phil Neville seems a bit demented quite frankly.
Jenas was at our match against Newcastle for BT Sports, stayed and watched about 5 minutes of the youth game with Steve McManaman before ****ing off.
Have to say he's surprisingly good. I mustve first seen him at least 3 months ago and I always thought he was a cock of a player and massively overrated and I just assumed he'd be a nobbish pundit but he's surprisingly insightful, articulate and intelligent. He's not done bad for a bloke caught shoving his mobile phone up his arse and asking people to ring it....allegedly....
TBH I found it hard to concentrate on Jenas because I was so intrigued by the monumental task the BBC make-up/ grooming dept. have taken on in trying to disguise Lawro's bald head. I think they're using the same illusionist methods Monty successfully employed to convince Luftwaffe spy planes that he had thousands instead of hundreds of tanks available. The latest tactic is to employ a trimmed white beard to divert attention from the barren pate and carefully position the few remaining wisps of white cranium hair into the optimum light-reflecting position. Finally a pair of eye catching designer specs completes the over all effect. You have to admire the gruelling work that's been done (if not the licence payers money spent), but unfortunately the project is a failure ...you can still tell he's a slap-head.
Why doesn't he just call Wayne Rooney up and ask for the number... It does amuse me, too. It's like a comb over as a quiff
