Been out all day so just read this. An interesting few minutes.

Infighting aside, agree fully with Sparks OP. There are probably 20 or so regulars who, in the main, are happy to have open discussions and while not always agreeing, at least can agree to differ.

I think we mostly know and understand what is wrong with our club and are of a similar mind as to what should be the first step to deal with it.

That said the return of our prodigal sons and daughters will ne very welcome to help broaden discussion and raise other issues.

With one big exception. Keep this a John Hughes free zone!!!! <yikes>

On a serious note, I contributed (or was reminded to) when we had the daily email system of new posts and posts that had ben contributed to. The new system doesn't act the same in that it reports 'watched' threads, which turn out to be threads I have contributed to. I've looked all over to try and activate the old system but presumably it's not available now? I too shall try and contribute more regularly. but this post will now be followed by a quiet time, South Africa and then DR Congo for a week.....not sure there will be time or internet to post till I get back.

Sausageman - all sounds very exotic pal. I'll probably manage a few walks on Lock's common over to Rest Bay and an outing to Leckwith this coming week.

Only been to the dark continent once and then only just. Had to go to Tunis to a meeting (jolly boy's outing really) about 20 years back. I've never returned since due to an incident in the souk. I won't describe it save to say that I've still got both balls.

They do like eating animal testes over there. You managed to stay well clear of the cooking pot then Sparks?

Don't know if they were looking to eat them Bluey, but I was just glad I didn't have to find out. It was probably my fault starting it when I told a couple of pests to stick their bloody carpet where the sun don't shine.

When you've had a few sherberts too many in the hotel, sometimes you feel like taking on the world on their own doorstep.

I think some of the younger posters do not really understand some of us old farts, especially when lots still reminisce about the good old days of Ninian park etc. Well lets look forward to a positive future with a win against Wigan a must.

I don't know about you guys but when swans lose, football is literally dead to me. At least for 2-3 days. I don't watch match of the day, don't look at the forums, I don't even like to think about it. It puts me in a foul mood.
So If people react similarly to the way I do, I kinda get why they don't bother posting. You're not having the greatest season by any means. But if things start picking up, I'm sure the posters will return.
