Quite amusing that was! My ratings: - Mignolet - 8 - 1 really good save and held the ball well from a few tricky free kicks and commanded the box quite well. Solid. - Lovren - 6 - clumsy at first, recovered quite well in the end. Not had a lot of game time. - Skrts - 9 - rock solid. Can't fault him really. A goal would have given him 10. - Can - 6.5 - starting to get found out at the back. Need to get him in midfield soon. - Markovic - 5 - not in his best position and it showed. Clumsy performace. Without the assist I would give 4.5 - Allen - 6 - did some good stuff but if that penalty had been given then god knows what would have happened. Average player. - Henderson - 6 - showed good legs but keeps giving the bloody ball away in his desperate attempts to emulate Gerrard. Rodgers needs to get him focussed on his strengths. - Lallana - 5 - cannot actually remember him do anything. - Courtinho - 7 - scored an absolute blinder but then, like Henderson, did little but give the ball away like we have recently to Bolton, Besiktas and now Soton. - Ibe - 6 - quite a few people gave him a good write up. I thought he was poor. - Sterling - 6.5 - got the goal but was poor apart from that. Gave the ball away, picked the wrong pass and didn't give much of an outlet. But then scored! - Moreno - 7 - helped solidify the defence and got involved going forward. - Sturridge - 5.5 - slightly better than his performace midweek. Still greedy without having the end product to silence the critics and his teammates. - Johnson - 6 - was horrified to see him again but put in a good challenge where he injured himself. Did nothing wrong. Other than our defence I thought we were pretty poor today without really looking like conceding.
