    Isn't this a tad contradictory? And as has been pointed out, Ba is a West Ham relegation player, but I wouldn't have complained if we'd bought him.

    I really don't think we'll score less than 3 against that defence and Sunderland are highly likely to score in their own net

    Bruce has definitely strengthened his relationship with Alex Ferguson during the transfer window and Sunderland look set to cement their place as the biggest money-wasters in the North East (a title we have long held onto).

    Going back to the OP you might want to actually have a look at getting out strongest team right mate.

    Ferdinand is our 4th choice CB. Richardson doesn't start for us. Gibson deal is looking less likely due to his wages and he wouldn't start first choice anyway. We still are in the market for a top striker. We could still be looking for a LW and a LB.

    Westwood

    O'Shea Bramble Brown Bardsley

    Larsson Gardner Catts/Colback Sessegnon

    Gyan Wickham

    That is from our current squad but like I say we'll be gunning for a marquee signing or two in August like Quinn has said previously. Sessegnon would walk into the Newcastle team too. Absolutely brilliant once settled in. Can't wait to see him and Gyan in the side together for a long run of games. Nobody can talk about the teams for the derby with too much certainty until the week or so before.

    And answering the original question, yes. You would be mad not to be nervous before a derby. Any fan who says anything other is a liar to be honest lol
