The saddest thing about this whole sorry affair is that it's lead to people posting the cringing word 'Thud' <doh>

It's almost as bad as people using Raylor & Saylor ........... this isn't the X-Factor ffs.

    Cheers Funky.

Of all the boards (after my own) this is the one I head for.
You cover some right good topics and tbh I have learnt so much from reading the posts. I very rarely comment on your board as I feel like an intruder.
I did used to stick up for Bruce at one time but can't be arsed with all that sh*t to be honest. Brucey can fight his own battles<cheers>.

I never frequent the Mags board. I cant stand theL'pool board.

    Catch you soon lads.

I'd love to respond but your Mods would be down on me like a ton of fishguts.

If I attempt any conversation with any Hull posters they'd get all flustered and be contacting the Supermods.

I don't want them bothered at this time on a Sunday night <ok>

I don't know about the banning mate. I mainly read the boards and don't get too involved tbH.
No fish guts around here, Grimsby has that title nowadays.

Question for you all, with the shipbuilding and colleries gone what industries have you got up there now.
I assume Nissan is the biggest employer.

Hope you get no grief here but after the mini invasion from some off your board there's always a chance somebody won't take kindly to your presence. Same with me over your board, some really hate me posting on there. But you're welcome here as far as I'm concerned.

What's that In Bruce We Trust Not606 banner fella? Seems idiotic. You could put money into a banner that could last a life time but you've gone for one that could be useless next week. Very strange. Not ventured onto the thread like but I imaging it caused quite a bit of conflict did it?

No conflict over it. We like our banner (we are having some issues about where to put it but that is being worked out). We are looking at doing another one (smaller) as we had extra money left over.

That was (IMO) worse than what Dossena did to Meyler - and for someone who has had some pretty horrendous injuries over time it's disgraceful - but some Hull fans will say accidental!!

It's a puzzle though fella. Managers have a shelf life after all. No manager is immune from parting company with their employers. But If you're happy with it enjoy it why you can.

I looked out for it on MOTD but didn't see it.

We don't care if it has a shelf life. We ordered it back when we were in the bottom 3 and there was talk of him being sacked. It was possible that he may have been sacked before it even went up. We wanted to support the manager when he and the club needed our support. The people making it even took time off their holidays to help us get it a little earlier.

It really isn't that much money spread over our board I think there is something like 2500 of us registered. We are talking about doing another smaller one or one of those ones you pass over the crowd before the game.

It's something you all should consider doing.

Out of curiosity (Big Phelan advocate, being a United fan) how many are attributing your upturn in success to his arrival? I'd give Bruce credit for bringing him in, but that's it.

Has Bruce acknowledged Phelan's input publicly since he arrived and you started to get a few results?

The guy is a genius where it counts most, sat next to his manager telling him exactly what needs changed and when. I'd have him back here in a flash if Van Gaal would recognise his worth.

Bruce is a mouthpiece now as far as I'm concerned.

The players have said that it has helped having him in training as it's another experienced eye watching, giving advice etc and that we have a couple different things we are working on in training as well.

Phelan has helped but what has helped more than Phelan is going from 8 injuries to starters the game before we got the draw to 4 injuries to starters in the last game we won (we get another starter back for the next game). For a team with our lack of quality in depth (as all teams in the bottom do) losing 8 starters was devastating ( we were the second highest in the league when we had 8).

I should say that some of us think that Bruce will be leaving at the end of the season and that Phelan will probably take the job.

Not sure if that last sentence will be a masterstroke or the end of Phelan <laugh> some people should stick to what they know best, although he looked solid at Norwich. Maybe he left as he was out of his comfort zone at Norwich.

Injuries play a big part obviously, but there was more than just injuries playing a part in your downfall, when I watched your game vs Newcastle. Nobody seemed to want to try, MP is great at getting that attitude out of players. Bruce has pulled out a pair of Aces with this one I reckon.
