.... Pardew, & Newcastle. Sadly, with a dozen games remaining we're, once again, in a relegation fight. (Thankfully Leicester look out of it, leaving us looking for 2 other teams worse than us.) QPR look doomed now that Barton will miss 3 games despite how the QPR supporters pretend they're better off without him. In truth he's been one of their best players.Their fixtures are beyond them with the resources they have. If Poyet hadn't handed the the game they'd now be in dire straits. People keep saying Palace are out of it but, in truth, they've won 1 of their last 5 which was against Leicester, they have to play at Sunderland and their last 4 games are very tough. Could be late contenders. Pardew is always capable of producing a losing streak and the 30 dopes in the corner, with their drum, don't impress anyone but MOTD. Villa have a sulky arrogant manager who sees himself as a visionary. Newcastle can do us a massive favour by beating Villa next week and leaving them looking back at 7 defeats on the bounce. They won't have Vlaar through suspension and they look like Sherwood has had no effect, the sulkiest side in the league. The players seem to believe they're above all this relegation nonsense. Newcastle's fixtures, after Villa, look difficult so they'll be looking for all 3 points as a must. So the Newcastle connection could have a big effect on our season, plus the 3 points at Easter of course
They said the same about Austin against us and didn't too badly there did they... I honestly don't think you can rule anyone out in this league. We were worse off than Leicester with a few games to last year and somehow managed to pull it off. Kramaric got his first goal yesterday, against Arsenal. If he can find his feet in this league and replicate even half the goalscoring form he had in the Croation league he could see them to safety. It's all ifs and buts. Anyone from Everton downwards can still drop imo.
That's my opinion also regarding who can still drop, my post was regarding who I think will go. Barton has lead the team well and battles harder than anyone, he'll be a big loss at a bad time. The QPR manager says the same. He'll miss the home games against Arsenal & Tottenham and the away derby at Crystal Palace. I think he'll be missed like Cattermole was by us.
Hull are still in the scrap and a home defeat to Sunderland would put you right back in it ...... the win yesterday was far from convincing. I don't believe either Hull or Sunderland will go down.
I think Leicester may get out of it. They creat more chances in games than all the teams down there. Someone will get battered from them soon. Qpr and Burnley are down then it be us villa and Leicester fighting for the spot.
If martians land at half time that might influence things aswell but some things are highly unlikely."home defeat to Sunderland!"I am a dalek!
I'm not sure about this but I reckon Hull were trounced, at home, by Newcastle and also lost at home to the bottom club. We had a sequence of poor results against Newcastle and now win every time. Sequences of results, against similar teams, mean little ........ I don't believe in bogey teams.
Agreed Smugs.Providing one of the teams is not managed by a lunatic and the other by a top experienced pro
Joined by loads more tbh. Whatever the case Poyet, for all his faults, overtook Bruce, for all his, from a much worse position last season. I've no idea what will happen a week on Tuesday but I'll be there, as usual, to cheer on my team. I'm not going there expecting a very average Hull to easily beat a very average Sunderland.
What's brought you out of the woodwork? Let me guess, oh yes! It's the first time since Hull have been ahead of Sunderland since November the 9th and here you are. You can set your watch by Stupid Wums.
Not sure why I said yesterday! Last time out I meant. Think we can safely ignore everything Dyslexic Jane says Smug, he's proved himself to be completely clueless time and time again

What ya talking about funk man? That 1 point clearly takes them out of the relegation battle and guarantees them a win against us in a few days
Of course it does, it also means they forget how **** they've been ALL season so now they'll look down their nose at all those below them as they're so superior. When will the world give them the recognition they deserve?
