One of the things I was liking about our games recently was the fact that we had goals from midfield-Eriksen and Chadli especially. I also thought that was why we bought Alli. Unfortunately I see that as our weakness in today's lineup.
I think that Poch sees this as the least difficult game of the next three and is resting a few players for the next two games, which are on paper at least much harder.
Was at the lane on thursday night and thought eriksen was really poor. Looked really jaded so it doesn't surprise me he has been rested. We can recover in the prem if we lose today but the next 2 are effectively cup games so that would play a part in the decision making too
I had a bad feeling about this game before it started and even more so now. I think that was Dembele messing about with it and then gets caught in possession. We've come back a few times this season, we badly need to get back in this quickly or you can see the crowd start to get frustrated
Completely agree with this. Every time they go forward you think they could score and a second goal for them you couldn't see us come back from. West Ham haven't had much but they could easily be 2 up by now.
What really f*cks me off about Spurs over the years is the inconsistency. How can we play so well against Arsenal with such a high tempo and then play like this.
Dembele and lamela need to be taken off...they are constantly giving the ball away...their passing has been awful We have no width and are being out fought all over the pitch Lucky to go in only 1 down
Rubbish first half. Disorganised at the back, sluggish in the midfield and lacking energy throughout. The decision to leave out Eriksen looks like a poor one at the moment. No balance to the attacks and you could make a case for taking off all three of the players behind Kane.
If you were thinking of 2 of the most talented players at the club you would probably think of Dembele and Lamela and that's what makes them so frustrating. Lamela just seems to dawdle on the ball and then play the wrong pass or way too late. This is a massive 45 minutes for us as a loss here would be terrible for the confidence going into our biggest week of the season.
Pathetic! Dembele looks like a Sunday-league player - utterly dreadful! And as for Lamela... when Poch played him during midweek, my heart sank, Yes, he's shown some flashes, here and there, but overall he has been a complete waste of space. My only hope is that things have to get better in the second half, provided we don't concede another cheap and stupid goal.
This has been a terrible half...decent 1st 15 mins but awful since then No service to kane, no width and no speed in our play...really really poor and so spurs We have won 7 out of our last 10 prem matches, they have won 1 in 8 and we look like gifting them a win
