Yeah but he has the excuse that Hernandez needs time to settle in England. Also, Hernandez is in competition with two in-form footballers.
The 10 million pound striker wasnt playing for us all of last season, unlike Livermore who we all know at best was "alright"
Jela N'Doye Dawson. Without Jela chasing that long ball right into the SW corner the winner would never have come. At 88 mins he chased after an almost lost cause and kept it in leading to the goal. N'Doye played a little too deep for me but was excellent again and his winner was a great powerful header. Dawson was what we all expect of him, a leader, solid and good distribution. ****s of the week:- Toss up between Barton and Zamora. Austin taking the piss with his bad knee joke wasn't far off.
Jelavic N'Doye Dawson ...and to the ****er that was sat behind me in E6, his name is pronounced Myler NOT ****ing Mailor!
Game was almost mirror image of first match of season with QPR - drawing at half time - Bruce off - we win 1. Jelly 2. Dawson 3 N'Doye
Jelavić - Another goal and a tireless performance. Brady - Just for the cross for the winner. A terrific cross, impossible to defend. N'Doye - Johnny on the spot to head home the winner. He's a goal threat and has a good work ethic. Brilliant.
Which proves Calv wrong. Livermore is way underrated these days. He gets picked because he's our best midfielder, certainly with Diame out. Hernandez doesn't get picked cos he's not been very good.
Excellent point re Jelavic. With them two up front the defendera are always under pressure. We concede more free kicks in their half but we also win it back a lot more.
Both Livermore and Huddlestone have under-performed this season, Huddlestone more so than Livermore. Ameasure of this is the goals they haven't scored. However, this is a form issue not a case of a player not being good enough, and I am convinced that if Diame had had a full season that the two of them would have performed far better.
I'm amazed Brady is in people's top 3? His attacking play was the worst I've seen from a wing/full back this season. He offered nothing down the left at all despite facing an academy right back making his debut? The amount of times he could of made a run or carried the ball Forward and chose to turn back and play inside was the most frustrating part of the game for me. The game was crying out for Robertson to come on and give us some balance and positivity.
Sort of hoping the Bruce comment is just being provocative but suspecting it's serious. If so, oh dear. Bruce was just fine as normal and personally think the change from 3-5 -2 to 4-4-2 was why we struggled so much in the second half against 10 men (no attacking width) Agree with top 3 but would put in different order: 1. N' Doye 2. Dawson 3 Jelly Honourable mentions to Macca, Brady and Hudds
wasn't meant to be provocative -it's just a fact - in any event Bruce totally at fault for Austin's goal - daddy said he missed header and he did - other than that countless sideways passes, the odd hoof and the usual passing to the opposition - some fans seem happy with this because he always gives 100% - so what - no surprise the turn around in form for last three games with bringing some fight in at the back with Macca although he didn't have his best game yesterday he still knocked the socks off Junior - hope we don't lose Curtis in the summer as we'll need to find at least 2 or 3 centre backs - on top of that we need to sort out the centre of midfield as both Meyler and Livermore need replacing
1. Jelly 2. Dawson 3. N'Doye Winning ugly but that's OK until Diame comes back and we start being more positive in midfield.
