0-3 and eight goals in the last three games since the the Woolwich Revolutionary Communist League (Saga branch) called their meeting! I'm sure Royston and his fellow Trots will insist that we're still going to be relegated and that nothing has changed. But it has - and decisively so. Free-scoring Charlton are going into the weekend in the top half of the table, and it is the despised network coach and the hated network players who have been the architects of winning us six points in six days. Three points against Powell next Sat and we will be really flying again, and so it's time we put the moaning behind us for the rest of the season and concentrate on getting behind Luzon and the team and cheering them on to a top-half finish. The irrational hatred towards Duchatalet and Meire and the denigration of the Liege players like Watt, Bulot and Ben Haim (who are actually proving to be the catalyst for our revival) is beginning to look petulant and silly. What happens on the pitch is all that matters over the last 14 games of the season. Duchalatelet is not going to take any notice of a bunch of unrepresentative loud-mouthed fans who think they know how to run his business better than he does, so perhaps it is time to celebrate that the club is being run like a proper grown-up business rather than a yesteryear fans franchise. Duchatalet out? Meire out? Forget it. Not going to happen. How about a new banner that says ''NEGATIVITY OUT' ?
Well done to the lads, those two goals against Norwich seem to have been the catalyst for the two 3-0s. I will have to eat a large portion of humble pie, if things carry on as they are.
A dreadful game to watch if you're a Wigan fan or a neutral, they couldn't string two passes together. Last week we played brilliantly and won 3-0, today we weren't great but clinical when we created chances. Henderson was great again, Johnson my MOM, Watt wasn't great, should have scored but is always involved. The only disappointment for me was Buyens. Great support, 500 or so of us there, more than Wigan had after Eagles goal.
Well said, another excellent and well worded post. As you say confidence from one win breeds more confidence and another good win, two clean sheets and six goals in two games. The players must be really buoyed by all of this and don't need or deserve the negativity against the Board, Owner or Manager who as JJ said in his interview is now getting across his methods and they are working. I didn't even realise the Wigan game was tonight thought it tomorrow so really elated to see the result.
Hey ho.Wake up on a saturday with three points (and three goals) in tha bag. Nice way to start the weekend. On any normal day, Luzon's post match comments that Charlton have a goalkeeper 'who does'nt have to jump or touch the ball' would have me snarling in exasperation. Today, it raises a grin. he's won back to back games 3-0. Plenty of football still to play, but if I'm going to be depressed after bad defeats, I'm gonna be euphoric this morning! When the red red robin goes bob bob bobbing along, along..........
Why couldn't Wigan score? Cost me £422 the ********. Just caught the highlights, safe to say eagles hasn't lost his pace. Glad to hear cousins being praised too.
