Separate incident. This was the welcome back to London posse. Why anyone is surprised about these incidents is a mystery, they clearly have never encountered Chelsea's hardcore support at close quarters. My pal, a glory hunting Chelsea fan who is only a few years into supporting the club, was horrified by the racist language and chants he heard travelling to and from the Europa League final. The mistake he made was taking his 7 year old son on the trip. Perhaps the racist element has been a bit quiet for a while and is now feeling more confident and vocal given certain shifts in the social and political environment but that element has been prevalent amongst Chelsea's supporters for a long time. Futile to pretend otherwise.
No mention of stealing tickets from so called fellow fans but hey, thanks for sharing. It's exactly the same. Like quoting something non racist that someone else said is exactly the same as calling somone a ******. Welcome back.
Shteve is right in what he's said so dont understand the abuse towards him. Regardless of the actions of these idiots,the racist undertone has been more prevalant at CFC than any other top flight football club for as long as I can remember. Why is it taboo to say that when nobody would bat an eyelid if Shteve had said the same about Millwall. The one thing nobody can get away from is that both incidents have involved CFC fans.
The abuse is because they can't argue against anything I wrote. They don't like it but they can't argue against it so its "easier" to dismiss it with insults. Either that or they are very far detached from the history of the club they support.
Another example of avoidance. Too ashamed to admit the truth, possibly because you're old enough to know it in detail. Poor.
Neither football nor CFC is the cause of the racist behaviour, but that's not the same as saying the fans who behaved like that are associated with the club. Ask people to name clubs who have fans most likely to be caught behaving like this and you'll probably get: Chelsea, Millwall, Leeds, Cardiff, Rangers being suggested. The fact that is still the perception is a poor reflection on those clubs.
