I would expect Liverpool to beat Blackburn in the QF of the FA Cup which would then mean our league game with them clashes with the Semi-Finals week-end.

So a distinct possibility of another mid-week home fixture.

It would be helpful to try and rearrange another game with a club who also has a spare weekend rather than allow fixture pile-up.

If this happens, let's hope they flourish in the Europa League too and are overwhelmed by fixtures themselves.

Great news for those of us who play cricket on weekends from the middle of April! Last year Wembley took priority over cricket but not league games!

If they do well in Europe, they'll sacrifice their league position to try and win either of those.

Without a doubt. Especially as this season the EL winners go straight into the CL next season.

So if the game is moved to a mid-week date then that is great news for us.

I am expecting Liverpool to give both the EL and FAC more priority this season now.

Bollocks, while they've still got a shot at 4th place they'll carry on, however they'll blow it with their wafer thin squad on all fronts & Stevie G will have an "iconic" picture of him crying!

Bollocks. They dont have a hope in hell of a top 4 spot. By April it will be certain.

When we had a semi last year they moved the Man U game scheduled for that weekend to the Tuesday in between the final two games of the season.

You will know by 9pm on saturday 7th march just after the Liverpool v Blackburn game ends if this is an issue.

As for the new date of the Liverpool home game these dates are also a NO NO whilst Liverpool stay in the Europa League.

    w/c 9th march - w/c 16th march - w/c 13th april - w/c 20th april - w/c 4th may - w/c 11th may.

IMO, the tuesday 28th April - after our away game @ Crystal Palace(25/apr) looks a good bet but i wonder if sky or BT may want to do it as a live game ?

Thanks Hattie. Balls.... doesn't work for my trip as currently planned. Maybe I'll delay it by a couple of weeks and extend the stay at my sister's for a week or two - she's gonna love that...but that way I'll get to see a couple more home games..Arsenal, Burnley, Liverpool and Man Utd !. Looking better by the minute. <cheers>

Thanks Tickles...between you and Mr. Hat you've convinced me to delay my trip date by a couple of weeks, and impose on my sister for an extra week & half.
She'll never forgive you guys !!

Hell no...I'm a City season ticket holder who manages to get to see a couple of home games a year...none last season unfortunately & none so far this season. Just trying to maximize how many I can get to this year...My plastic nephew is fond of Liverpool (as well as City of course), so hence my original planned visit. Should they get to the semi-final & re-arrange that fixture I should be able to get another home game in after your & Tickles input. My sister will be desperately hoping Blackburn win so I don't impose more than I originally planned.
edit: bloody hell, I called my nephew my son-in-law !! I hope my sister or brother-in-law never read this forum otherwise I'll be sleeping in Pickering Park for a couple of weeks...
