Would you not get involved if it was your lass?

    What about your Dad?

    What about his mate?

What about someone you'd call a mate on here?

Would you walk away if 'En Garde' was being battered at Sunderland?

No I'm not, I'm saying she's never been assaulted. I didn't mention social or criminal trends across the globe I literally just mentioned my missus. I'll cross that bridge if I come to it.

I wouldn't be appealing because I'd be trying to help her and would be too panicked and desperate to help her to calmly turn around and ask for assistance.

When did I condemn anyone? I've actively said both mindsets are absolutely fine just different. I don't consider myself a louse and I'm as sure as **** not ashamed of myself. I haven't insulted or put anyone down so I'm going to leave this conversation now that I have been for no reason whatsoever.

You're superior to no one mate, you're not streetwise, you're not worldly. Get off your horse.

    No I'm not.

It's a serious thread about ageing and the ever present threat of going to away games.

I suspect you 'support' your club from the safety of your laptop tbh.

I'm on my own board, making a serious point, where are you if you're not just wumming?

That completely depends on the situation. I've got involved before and I've not got involved before. If it's football related I have **** all interest.

We're now seemingly talking about personal attacks on my family and friends as opposed to a gang of lads on a gang of lads.

    Bit different.

Nuff said, gut instinct, heat of the moment, split decision, which ever way you react, whatever happens is probably the right outcome, now if people had been stamping and kicking heads while on the floor, that could kill somebody, few lads having a dust up and not winning and it calming itself down to the point that they can go and nurse a sore jaw with a pint is something else imho

    It's not different at all.

Are you saying some drunk attacking your lass/dad is different if there's football involved?

Would you react differently in either situation?

Never said I was did I? I can admit I'm condescending though, When I do it I do it for a reason. Go on, admit you are too. Grow some ****ing stones. If you're seriously that ****ing delusion that you think you aren't you should get somebody to read out your comments to you. Nowt but a dirty mag.

Stop trying to ally yersel to other people and speak for yersel ffs.

I'm not slagging him off, it's called 'debate' and this is a forum for debate.

I respect his views 100% but may not always agree.

You totally miss the point that you can debate with someone and are not 'slagging them off'.

That's where you go always go wrong.

Someone attacking my missus or elderly father on the street is very different to a group of blokes attacking a group of blokes at the football.

Yes, I think it's very different. Yes I'd most likely react differently.

I've said my bit now Smug. I don't know how I became the target on insults when I just offered a different mindset to yours and tried to assure you what you'd done was correct but you know what... Fair enough.

You think admitting you are condescending on a football forum is proof that you have bollocks? <laugh> Think you need to "get out a bit more" mate.

I'm not insulting you at all .......... a Mag, En Garde, said I was but that's bullshit.

What I'm clearly asking is, "If your lass/dad was being attacked because of Sunderland, would you be happy for me to walk past and ignore it?

Says the Mag on a Sunderland forum at ten o'clock at night.

The man who said the debate was over ages ago <laugh>

Nah I'm paying no attention to what some **** stirrer is saying I'm talking about what you said to me when you implied I'm a louse and should be ashamed of myself.

I'm not dignifying your question with an answer as it's ridiculous. The fact that I wouldn't jump in on a gang on gang fight doesn't mean I wouldn't try too stop some **** battering an old man or a woman.

    They're very, very different things.

    No I didn't .............

What I said was, "If you'd condemn decent people who intervened then you'd be a louse imo."

That means that if you condemned people for coming to your defence then you'd be a louse.

Don't try to trip me up, or misquote me, I know exactly what I'm saying no matter how much I play the fool.

I repeat, if you condemned me for preventing your lass from being assaulted then I'd conside you a louse.

I don't think you'd do that though would you?
