Whichever computer translated that is a comedy genius: "Shaming the egos of Kimi Raikkonen, the Iceman which has melted like snow in the Sun. Head over that of ... the foot, revealing that the Iceman is sewn upon it more to be a tone that to plastic representation of a character far from impervious to pressure. The façade, in fact, does not correspond to the substance." Is this like Artificial Intelligence?
After his cancer it's nice to see, unfortunately he is abut long in the tooth now for the RB junior program.
Two somewhat linked stories, showing the contrasting outlooks of the two manufacturers. Renault could postpone F1 engine development push to help 2016 and Customer F1 teams a boost for Mercedes engine programme
If Renault postpone engine dev Honda will be happy as they get more tokens! But Red Bull will be mighty annoyed. Interesting.
And more media praise by the red guys for Seb, eventually they will convince the whole world he is the best driver on the grid like they did with senior beard. Da reds were always amazing with media manipulation. Maybe they will convince him to join twitter and then he can start taking up another persona in some alternate reality of an ancient warrior. Too bad the samurai gimmick has been taken up and copy written by someone already. Instead maybe he should try a ninja or better still a power ranger? Sorry Kimi been nice knowing you but this is a massive push for someone else if I ever saw it. So much Schumacher comparison its getting cringe worthy!
Once the aero guys get hold of that it would soon be looking very different! Would need to go on a diet for starters!
Manor are now out of administration, and this ESPN F1 @ESPNF1 7m7 minutes ago Arrivabene says Ferrari has an agreement to supply Manor GP (Marussia) with 2014 engines this year #f1 I'd like to hope there the possibility of swapping to 2015 engines after some car development, but that seems unlikely given just getting to the grid is looking pretty difficult.
2014 hybrid chassis and 2014 Ferrari engines does not bode well. They'll be back to 2010 levels of disparity from the rest of the grid.
Hopefully the 2014 hybrid will just be a stop gap so they can build a 2015 but I suspect more likely a 2016 car. This year they will be lucky to get within 107% but hopefully it gives them time and prize money to develop a new car.
All depends what drivers they have. If they have some young fast talent then they might have a chance of qualifying. If they turn up with Cucumber and Ide then they will have a better chance. Maybe points!
And in current news.... Giedo van der Garde starts legal action against Sauber ahead of Australian GP Giedo van der Garde has started a legal action against Sauber in an attempt to make the starting grid for next weekend’s season-opener in Melbourne. Australian media reported on Thursday that the Dutchman has lodged documents with Victoria’s Supreme Court which claim that he was unfairly dismissed by the Swiss team. Van der Garde, 29, was Sauber’s reserve driver last year and had hoped for a race seat this coming season. He is claiming that the offer was made in June 2014 but team bosses subsequently reneged on the deal. Sauber instead chose Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr, plus Raffaele Marciello as reserve, but Van der Garde hopes a court hearing on Monday will find in his favour. "In early November 20l4, Mr van de Garde was informed by Sauber's Chief Executive Officer, Ms Monisha Kaltenborn, that Sauber's two seats had been given to other drivers and that, as a consequence, Mr van der Garde would not have a place as a driver in the team in 2015," the court documents claim. "The Respondent was ordered to refrain from taking any action the effect of which would be to deprive Mr van der Garde of his entitlement to participate in the 2015 Formula One Season as one of Sauber's two nominated race drivers," they added. Van der Garde, who raced for Caterham in 2013, has already taken the case to the Arbitration Institution in Switzerland, which ruled that Sauber should retain him.
