Is there any reason for the ridiculously slow schedule? Playing one game a day at this stage is just completely stupid, feels like a complete non-event.

True and I usually console myself by watching the remaining teams battle it out, which is easy enough to do in most sports. But when the only game on is Bangladesh v Afghanistan it really breaks up the momentum of the tournament.

Scotland did well in the end only losing by 3 wickets.

Big "Battle of Britain" clash next up..

That sounds so much better than saying NZ managed to overtake their total in less than half the overs...

As a bit of a laugh in the Fantasy game, I put in all the Middlesex players - Finn took 5, Stirling scored 92 and Davey took 3 so that's a large number of points - shame about Morgan and Balbirnie.

'Absolute gubbing' would be something of an understatement.

I may go to the England Scotland game. It should be a close match.

I had completely forgotten about this match and indeed this tournament.

My interest in cricket has declined in proportion to the increasing amount of coverage the evil empire Sky gives it. Back in the 60s, 70s and most of the 80s I looked forward eagerly to Test Matches, ODIs and even followed the County Championship.

Now the much reduced (and still reducing) coverage of the game on the terrestrial channels, means I don't give a flying f*ck about any of it.

This will be my only contribution to this thread.

I've only just seen the result against NZ - if relative performance is anything to go by, Scotland should romp home...

As some of you may have gathered - I am currently in the USA. I have DirecTV as my television 'supplier' and I am very happy with their service.

But I tried looking up their coverage of the World Cup and they don't even have Cricket as a sports category. Boating and climbing yes - but no cricket.

A shameful performance by the colonials.

Especially as the first cricket international, in 1844, was between the US and Canada.

Canada having won that match may go some way towards explaining the lack of coverage in the US....
