Credit where credit is due, today sheff utd were excellent, first half was even stephens, second half they were by far the better side.
Made us look very ordinary played the better football and dominated the play.

I went to Bramall lane first game of the season,we won the game, they have come on big time since then.

I say they have been the best side to play us at Ashton Gate so far this season.

I said we would finish top and them finish second, don't discount them from doing it.

Today was always going to be a hard game,However we have a big lead over them at present. This should be too hard to catch up.

Agreed, best team I've seen at AG since MK.. Very surprised we have 20 more points than them.

Best performance by a team visiting the gate this season, on that form Sheff.Utd. could get into the top two and finish second to us!

    Stats tell it all.
City 12 goal attempts and only ONE on target.
Sheff U 9 attempts and 7 on target.

I think MK a better side - take nothing away from Sheff U - they came with a game plan and kept to it

I thought John Brayford had a good game for them - he was the bloke with the beard who played on the right

I said at the seasons start this is a weak league and i will stick to that.

There are three mini leagues in this division the four or five that i said would be there the middle runners and the strugglers.
I did have Yeovil down for a play off place mind you,but their side got ripped apart when they came down.
We have to hope Yesterday was a blip, two games upto the wembley final could be damaging though.

Yea the city just didnt turn up for this one, on a plus side every team will be beaten at some point so now was probably a good time as it will shake us up for latter side of the season.

I thought they were ok, but in fairness we had such a bad day at the office the gas could of looked impressive against us.
The one thing that I did notice is that they are a dirty team and complaining to the ref all the time. Have noticed that we don't like being pushed around and it does take our minds off the game.
The ref was ****ing awful what the **** was going on with that throwin was it ours was it theirs he didn't have a clue.

And watched it on the football league show, if the ball comes to you and you're standing on the line you're offside.

Red you're spot on,that bloke who scored the equaliser was offside when he knocked the ball in,if he let it go in without touching it then fine.

Hi Mate,I can't remember the last time we had any decent refs or linesman,if that equaliser was correctly ruled out there may have been a different outcome but maybe not?

If we had 5 men sent off and our remaining players blindfolded the gas still wouldn't look impressive against us.

But the ref was ****e, for both teams. Cynical foul after cynical foul and the ref just waved play on..

The big concern is was it just a blip, nothing lost with the other two losing,A big effort Tuesday is required.

Sheff Utd yesterday were a completly different side to what we saw a bramall lane.

I had city for first and them for second come the end,it may still happen, but they will have to go some to catch up,and others will need to loose a lot.

Sheff U may have stepped it up a bit against us,but will they be up for it as much against so called lesser teams than us,that may have a bearing on wether they could make it to second spot, plus they will be hoping for a fair few slip ups from several teams above them.

I mentioned on another post that Sheffield have already played us, Preston, Swindle and Milton Keynes twice. They only have teams below them left to play for the rest of the season, very few of whom are in the same class, in my opinion. They can definitely string together 14/15 wins from the remaining games.

I feel we need 91 points to be sure of finishing above them, in 17 games = 30 more points. 10 more wins, starting on Tuesday please. Swindon and MK have to win 11 of 16 to get to the same numbers. We must make our game in hand count.

But bear in mind that Sheffield Utd will also be facing teams fighting relegation which will make it equally tough.

If they finish top 2 then it will be a miracle. If they finish above us then something will have gone seriously wrong!

us and them were both poor last year, they went on a massive run, they could do even better this time around though,we had a bad day, they got a little bit of luck Saturday but were far better than us on the day.
