Apathy has really taken hold. Two hours from kick-off and no match thread?

Had been expecting to make one of my very rare win forecasts, considering Brentford are missing a few and don't have a deep squad. But now even our more reliable performers are flagging I cannot see better than a 1-1 draw.

Wasn't going today but last minute thought best show up. With ten minutes to go looks like a fair few decided against it. Will know in a couple of hours who made the right choice.

1-0 up by the gods. And for the umpteenth time hope springs. From what I'm hearing, we are playing well, and another worldy from Guddy.

Different team to Tuesday night This Charlton actually want to be on the pitch and showing some fight and dare I say it skill. Worry two enforced subs used and the third look likely at half time. But a thousand time better performance than Tuesday so far.

3-0, so I assume the CAST meeting is now off! Sounds like we actually played today.

Dick was right after all. Roly does have a plan. I have total confidence in him, in KM and Mr Luzon. All dissidents should be castrated.

Even allowing for the Player commentators' extreme bias and euphoria, it sounds as if we have our first menacing front pairing since Fuller and Haynes. Let's hope the new pairing can stayer fitter than those two. (Even when they were both playing well and the team was steaming ahead, I never really considered Kermorgant and Wright-Phillips a "pairing". They each seemed to do their own thing and that freed space for the other, but there was little interplay. Vetokele and Watt seemed to play off each other more).

Fook me - no idea where that came from!! Tony Watt was sensational - he bounces off the crowd, and he seems to have reignited igors passion too.

To be fair to Johnson he was solid. A bit of rust hanging over him but his no nonsense approach was much needed after bikeys loss of form.

I still don't like Luzon though. At points in the game I just found myself looking at him. Just thinking God I want you out.

This is what happens when I don't follow the game. I went with a friend to see his team Torquay play at Eastleigh today, thus sparing myself what I thought would be the agony of another defeat.

I should do it more often, clearly.

One of the best performances of the season, straight from the kick off we played well, all 11 players wanted to be out there today. Brentford offered nothing which surprised me. As I and numerous others have been saying for weeks Watt and Vetokele have to start up front, and look what happened, both were brilliant. All in all a rare great day.

I've been saying quietly for a long time that Henderson's injury marked the downturn in a form; today we saw how composed he is and how he settles the defence.

Agree with others about Watt and Igor; the second goal seemed to come out of nothg but their determination.

@SuperChrissyisfantasticPardswasatrocious I agree. Found myself staring at Luzon whilst he was crouching down and launched a tirade at my Dad as if it was his fault.

We have a Jock in the team for 90 minutes.
    We win 3-0.
    Coincidence? I think not!

Though from the wrong side of Glasgow, FHB <cheers>

Kish - the crouching is what gets me. He appears to be trying to imitate Jose, but in the most useless areas.

It's also worth noting the crowd - absolutely dead. I don't bother with the cup games but I can't imagine its much different. Large spaces of empty seats.

Luzon got more right than wrong today.

How much better did we look with Henderson and Johnson in the team, and Bikey and Buyens out of it.

    Good support today as well.

the fans were onside the entire game today. made a huge difference.

johnson was actually really good. when his and TBH communication gets better they'll be our first choice pairing. Henderson was my motm. he gave the defence so much confidence.

igor and watt up front caused problems. and moving cousins inside was what shouldve happened in september.

i wonder if luzon will now get the sack for picking a strong team.

I guess we now wait to see if he rotates the team again. He'd be very foolish to do so.

only negative today was that buyens was a passenger again. if only we still had coq, or the spurs kid. we'd have a robust squad.

Be interesting to see who our CB's next season will be as only Bikey signed a 2 years deal, all the rest will be gone other than Gomez, obviously depending on contracts
