@tonyfernandes: We found a great guy to manage us form next season a dream manager but actually we had a dream candidate right in front of us Chris Ramsey. @tonyfernandes: So we the board decided to give Chris a chance and he certainly has been a dream in such a short period. First away win. Happy players. @tonyfernandes: He almost works 24hrs. After first team he takes eds and even under 14. He's modest, gets on with the job is organised, passionate and loyal @tonyfernandes: There are no guarantees in football. But Chris Ramsey has every chance to build a long term and huge managerial future at qpr. We are lucky
i.e. we have no ****ing plan, we make it up as we go along, Chris is cheap and does 3 jobs, lets hope he doesn't collapse from stress and exhaustion, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Actually I'd never heard of him until Harry was sac...oops, Harry resigned. I'll trust Les to make the decisions with his solid track record in running football clubs. Eyes closed, quick march! Happy Valentines Tone@30yearplan. xxxxxxxx
...the knees go first. I think you're being a tad scathing here though Stan. We had no idea that an untested manager would make such a positive impression in such a short space of time. You can highlight the point that it's all been inadvertent (and it definitely is) but all they can do is try and work with what's here now. I'd guess they'll carry on as is for the next few months and then look to fill the vacant development role if it works out. I'd like to think that there's a few different scenarios under consideration (based on Ramsey's success, on-field performance, abyssmal relegation) and that the board haven't committed to one or the other yet.
I think if Ramsey keeps us up, get us playing well and for the badge etcetera then he should be given the job whatever his experience, and not someone from Tonys dream
Or: I thought some good manager was interested in coming to QPR but before we made contact with him i decide to Tweet that we have found our dream man only for him to say 'F@ck off' i'm not going to QPR when he found out. Now i look F'ing stupid however Ramsey can defer that stupid tweet. @tonyfernandes: He almost works 24hrs. After first team he takes eds and even under 14. He's modest, gets on with the job is organised, passionate and loyal. I have learn't a lot from Harry.
I wouldn't have a problem with any of this if only Fernandes could lay off the tweets. Appointing Ramsey 'til the end of the season makes sense, as does having the dream boy lined up to take over in the summer. Don't tell us what you're thinking about doing TF, just tell us when it's done and what the reasoning was.
Now I'm confused. Does TF still have his original dream manager coming in for next season regardless or has that now gone tits up?
I think I read that he said he wouldn't leave Real Madrid mid-season, but that he would love to manage QPR some time in the future. It fits.
Tony and Harry dropped us in this sh*t with their pathetic behaviour throughout the transfer window. Tony is doing us no favours with his 'twittering', any dream manager's agent seeing such tripe will add noughts onto his client's contract, that maybe why the dream didn't materialise. If Ramsey keeps us up and we're playing some decent stuff as on Tuesday why not invoke the 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' scenario?...
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/05/paul-clement-rules-out-qpr-job “I’m very flattered to be linked with Queens Park Rangers, a club I supported as a young boy and for whom my dad played,” Clement told the Guardian. “It would be a real honour to manage that club at some point in the future. But, at this time, I’ve got no intention of leaving Real Madrid in mid-season.” http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/12/qpr-appoint-chris-ramsey-manager
I agree with Stroller so much All this is fine and dandy. Except TFs tweeting. We have looked at managers, some said no, some said maybe at the end of the season, some said yes give us 3million plusbonuses. And in the meantime Chris got on with it, got us a win, players sounding happier, fans contented and happy to get behind Chris. Stupid money not spent Obviously the best solution all round... So shut up TF...the less you say, the more glory you can reflect in
I heard this morning that Tim Sherwood was counting on Ramsey being his assistant at whichever job he thought he was going to get, but now Ramsey has the QPR job he looks f*cked. Strong rumour that Villa will lure Pulis away from West Brom, apparently he always puts an easy exit clause in his contract hence his quick exit from Palace...
I do sometimes wonder just how, exactly, Tony has managed to make so much money. Did he win the lottery or something?
I'm thinking more and more that Sherwood may be a bullet dodged. If Pullis leaves West Brom so soon after joining them, he will go down a long way in my estimations.
