As ever, the rankings are bollocks. I keep half an eye on Romania, and how they've ended up so high at the moment I don't know. As OedipusTex points out, USA are languishing unfairly in 31st, yet in previous years both they and Mexico have spent long spells in the top 8 without really earning it. Most of these anomalies are down to Fifa's insistence on counting friendlies, but there must be other factors too.
I thought the same. Canada had some decent players not too long ago, not sure what's happened there. No idea why NZ are so low, theyve qualified for a few world cups recently, they must've lost to some ****ty Oceania sides.
I'm probably starting a conspiracy but notice how the only teams who have dropped in the top 20 are European (except his own Switzerland). Coincidence as UEFA are publically against Blatter and FIFA?
Yeah I know how the coefficients work. They're based on several factors that don't really prove/show anything.
My point is, that the criteria is fixed, the teams only move up and down based on results. Nobody at FIFA can fiddle it, so your suggestion that European teams were potentially being moved down was obviously nonsense.
I dont understand why everyone is anti Hodgson. We've just got the worst set of available players in, well probably ever. There is nobody as far as I can see who he should pick that he doesnt. I can never remember that from any prior stage of my life, there has always been debate about who should be in and who shouldnt. And who would people rather have? Mourinho would be the ideal choice but he's n t stupid, he wouldnt give up the Chelsea job basically signing whoever he wants to be stuck with a load of players who wouldnt get anywhere near the top 50 in the world. Stop blaming the manager and just accept that we're a very, very mediocre international team. And for anyone disagreeing with the ranking, which of the 14 above us should we be ahead of? I'd say 15th is about spot on for where we are.
So he should, Kane has been on fire. Let's hope when we travel to White Hart Lane that Bruce clatters him in the first minute and therefore struggles for the rest of the game.
