We managed well against Spurs without him, he is a loss though. As you can see from this thread most want Can into the midfield to cover for Lucas, it's then either Lovren or Toure or God forbid Johnson ito the back 3.

  4. I've opted for Toure RCB Can DM. Toure was playing well there before Brod #luckedout on Can in that position

"The problem could not have come at a worse better time for the Reds with six games in 19 days, including both legs of their Europa League round-of-32 tie with Turkish side Besiktas and Premier League matches against top-four sides Southampton and Manchester City."

    Fixed. <ok>

Joe Allen also injury prone so may last one game and be out the next three. We really are short here.

Lovren at RCB and Can in midfield.

Lovren has has been bad but on his natural right hand side and with 2 othe defenders next to him he should be ok. He doesn't have to try and organise or be he leader just be simply win the ball and pass it on down the line or inside to can/Hendo

Its Rodgers' fault for playing him every single game Now either Allen or Lovren will need to step upto the plate

  13. He's got two options; use the superb selection of youth players we have available (<laugh>) or just get lucky, again #luckedout

Problem is, we also have Skrtel who doesn't need to worry about leading the line or anything else for that matter.

I'd say keep Can in defence to form a solid defence. Allen has suffered from injuries but he's mobile and provides an option. The very least he can do is occupy space to prevent the balls from coming through.

If we put Lovren back in the defence, then we only have 1 ball playing defender - which means we become predictable at the back and have to play through Sakho all the time.

I've gone for Lovren/Can but Can/Allen is fine if Allen is doing well in training

Allen is good at drawing yellows which can put pressure on opponents

I remember you being a real handful that day to though. Pelle especially. Hasn't his form dipped recently?
