it up to rodgers to have his hand forced into this. ideally if allen gets a stubbed toe there will be no option. I already highlighted lovern at rcb before this week on the board but feel that i'd only move can due to lucas injury. the boy is coming on well where he is and we are on brilliant run. ibe has done well coming in. all in all the more we get sturridge going and are still winning its great
were going for 3rd anyway so Sad it yesterday, us in 3rd and win the EL while you finish 4th and win the LC. United and arsenal both miss out on CL football and we're all happy
In some universe that will happen. There's an equal chance in this universe as any other of the infinite universes... though infinitesimally small.
If Man City don't win tonight, I'm not ruling out 2nd being up for grabs too (not necessarily for us, and not meaning City won't be top 4)
I can definitely live with that. To be fair have you seen the birds in Tottenham? Might as well just change it to "Spurs" because it's definitely the better option round here
Agree with what's been written already, Spurs were the best side we've played so far this season, esp. at home.. They came to play, loads of good pressing from them, good movement up front, they will be in the mix for top 4 right up until the end, just hope we are too.. Both teams in a good vein of form and we managed to get the three points, whilst, dare I say it, not playing at our best.. Sakho a bit iffy at times, maybe at fault for their goal, but other than that, more solid than of late.. Agree, Moreno going forward is great, just needs to defend better, esp. when Lucas isn't in the side to cover for him because he isn't gonna get that when Gerrard is in the team.. Ford was poor.. Starting with Gerrard nowadays is like starting with 10 men most of the time! Poor old Hendo was doing his own running and that of Gerrard's which lead to him having an off night too.. No Sterling... Sturridge still not at full fitness and we managed to win... As long as we have no more injuries to key players and hope Lucas comes back sooner rather than later.. we may just have a say in who finishes in the top 4 (if not ourselves..) For me, Can needs to partner Hendo in midfield until Lucas is back, if that means giving Lovern a run out, then so be it, its about time he tried to redeem himself with a good finish to the season! The ref. was shocking, at the most there should have been one yellow for each team, most of the one's he dished out to the Spurs team were comical at best!
Yeah, aggrieved about the Gerrard booking, but at least three of yours were harsh. Didn't he book Paulinho seconds after he came onto the pitch for his first tackle? On the balance of play for the whole game you deserved a point, but the Liverpool team of last season would have had three in that first twenty minutes. I said further up the thrad that you're the best team we've played in the league at Anfield, including Chelsea, but the result means we're still in the hunt for fourth place with you for now, whereas a draw would have probably seen us off. Good luck for the rest of the season.
If we can win the EL then or doesn't matter where we finish in the league. Obviously the higher the better still though. Is like to see Saints get CL football but not at our expense
EL only gets you into the qualifiers I believe where as top 3 get you automatic qualification to the groups.
