Another point to safety guys, keep the faith. In all honesty guys to move forward you do need a new manager.
It's the 'tactics' (used very loosely) that's killing me. Hoofing the ball at KWJ like possession is something to be ashamed of. No pressure on the opposition allowing limitless possession. Brighton are a terrible side, anyone even slightly better would have beaten us easily.
I don't think we will go down, but the arseholes could get ver squeaky indeed. I'm afraid I find myself wanting enough to make sure that we can't go down, then we go an an appalling run. The close season will tell us where we are regarding VT's commitment to making this club what it could be.
I've watched and played in better pub teams when pi$$ed on a Sunday morning. One tactic first half. Hit the ball up in the air and hope Jones can win it and head on to ........................................................ no one. Marginally better second half when Doyle came on but he must be wondering what he's let himself in for. For strikers to score they need the ball in the opposing penalty area. Not something we do that often, if at all. That's why ALF rarely scored - see he got Bolton's third last night.
I had thought that until last night. We are currently one of the worst sides in the division both in terms of performance and statistics. We were dominated by a team very much in the relegation mix at home. Milwall and co. will be targeting us a terrible side that can be caught. 8 points has become 6, by Sunday we could be 1 result away from the relegation places.
It took us until the 49th minute to have a shot on goal and that was a deflection, Slade has lost everything at the club, The players, the crowd and his own self respect. If he had any decency he would resign now. I was sat in the Grandstand last night and the abuse Slade was getting from people behind the dugout was apparent for most of the game, you also have to ask, what on earth is Scott Young there for ???? there were no tactics as such, the side was booed off at half time and full time, therefore enough is enough, people in overall charge of our club must realise we are now on a massive downward spiral that is gathering momentum with every game. The simple fact of the matter is, with this current oaf in charge we would struggle in any league. I cannot blame the players as they lack direction and are obviously being told to play the way they are, Noone looks totally dejected so does Whitts, Gunnarson had a mare but was it his fault ? The only bright spot in that game for me last night was Manga, and he must be thinking WTF did i let myself in for, he constantly won the ball and looked to play it out of defence and when it went to our midfield it came straight back to the back for to once again be hoofed up in the general direction of KWJ, this cannot go on, i have been attending matches since 1968 and at the moment i feel i havent seen performances like this since the late 80's. It is very sad, i will continue attending as i have supported the club through thick and thin and this is the thinnest i have witnessed for a very long time.
I don't think you can blame Gunnar to that extent. Whitts on the other hand didn't seem to have a clue what to do. The team has effectively been built around him and it just isn't happening at all.O'Keefe was another who looked lost as to what he was supposed to do to contribute, and Malone looked like a League One player again. Manga was a class apart from the rest but to be fair he didn't have a lot to beat The whole atmosphere amongst the players is the worst for a very long time.
Wow guys.......not pretty reading A mate of mine was there last night and he was telling me about the atmosphere...........reminded me of when my lot had SOD in charge and we were like headless chickens at every game. Can't be long until VT calls time on the boss surely? But then what next?......I think you need two good wins on the trot to build the belief back up in the team and the fans. Crucial next couple of games for the Bluebirds.
Adkins would be fine. Also Brian McDermott - Tony Mowbray - Gary Megson - Ray Wilkins - Duncan Ferguson, even bloody Ally McCoist would be on my list. Wouldn't want the poisoned dwarf Billy Davies though.................'ang on a minute - if it meant getting Slade out, even him......
Whittingham, O'Keefe and Malone have to be dropped. Slade has to be sacked. Young has to be moved below.
I was going to go with below ground My only comment with that is dig a big enough hole to throw the other ****wit in there with him ...
twas a strange decision 2 employ this fella slade in the first place, but its even stranger why he hasn't got the sack yet.......
