The Phelan effect working it's magic. Though it helps when you play a team as **** as that. Vila going down based on tonight.
**** but clinical pretty much sums that up. We couldn't get a touch of the ball for the best part of the game and when we did we gave it away again! Villa gifted us those three points, then again its about time we got something from them!
QPR will be a tougher game.. although I'd have thought this one would have been.. Our first PL win over Villa isn't it? Good signing Brucie and well worth that tango in Paris buttering up the Dame.. Brando fans will know what I mean..
There'll be more of them, we were ****, but did what we needed to do & get the 3 points. No one cares how we do it as long as we do.
Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers, one eye on mid table, the other on Europe. The Tigers are back. Happy days.
Of all the stats associated with football, possession is the least relevant. Whenever a team is comfortably in front they inevitably let the opposition have the ball as they probe for a way back into the game. I've seen teams get slaughtered by 4 and more yet have the higher percentage of possession.
Result of the night for us still has to be QPR finally getting a win away though. We could have been top of the league and have won every game before it and you could have guaranteed they'd do us if they'd made it to the KC without an away win in 12 attempts.
Still some flaws in our game though. Hope we don't get complacent. Fluke goal by Jelly and poor defending for second goal. Excellent win but I hope players don't think they've turned a corner because we'll probably end up losing to QPR then.
I doubt that trying to find some butter was what held up the deal until the 11th hour. What's important is that they cemented the partnership.
