We've got a right to expect Slade to deliver a double A side these next two Ruby Tuesdays. Let's spend the night together should be his rallying call to the supporters and I'll give you something to cheer about instead of covering your eyes in embarrassment.

Six points from these next two home games should be well within grasp, but if we dont achieve that or at least 4, Slade's cover (what there is left of it) is going to be blown.

I've looked at the current prediction thread for the Brighton game tomorrow and note that 11 of the first dozen predictions have gone for a City win with only hampshire Blue going for anything less than the full 3 points. I might be a tad pessimistic about our chances, but it's based upon what we've had to bear at the CCS recently. Unless Slade finds the key to unlocking the talent we have at the club, hampshire could be nearer the mark than the rest.

I dread to think what defeat would do other than the positive of Slade taking an early bath before the Blackburn game. If we do get done by Brighton, Dalman's lukewarm backing of him last week could well evaporate and he shouldn't be around the CCS for much longer - defeat by Blackburn would surely seal it.

As the saying goes, i think Mr Slade is on very thin ice at the moment.

On current form I thought I was being over optimistic predicting a draw.

I have no faith in Slade whatsoever. The man is totally out of his depth.

The only positive coming out of the last game is the players seem to want to fight for their status judging by the number of yellow cards.

Taking a point off a very poor side seems to be regarded as progress.

Maybe it is, but forget the players on the pitch for a minute, that second half performance from the management of the players was instrumental in losing us 2 points.

I'm one of those who have gone for a [narrow] win.

Hopefully the bluebirds will give us fans some Satisfaction tonight but we know You can't always get what you want.

If we do lose then Slade will say that Time is on my Side, City are not Out of Time and our promotion hopes are not Shattered but he should admit that It's all over now.

Honestly don't see him getting sacked this month.

That message he was given deemed to me gave him some support which I think would carry to the end of the month. Also, who will come here. Do you think we should sack Slade and let Young mange the club whilst we look for a replacement?

Unless they have a ready made appointment to walk in straight away, Slade will keep hanging in there for at least 4-5 more matches.

ToB - things can happen very quickly. If we do win tonight as we should, I'm sure Slade will get beyond the Blackburn game whatever the result of that - probably even to see the month out. On the other hand, a loss tonight will put him right on the back foot, and I'm convinced a similar result against Blackburn will see his time here come to an end.

As to who would replace him, the thought of Young again faffing about for a few weeks again like before Slade was appointed is also untenable. I wouldn't be surprised if Tan has learned from that and there's a short list being drawn up right now. Buttons will be pressed the day Slade goes.

Difficult one this, I want City to win so that we can put some points between us and the relegation places, but I also want City to lose so that Tan and the board finally see the light and get rid of that clown. My only fear is that Slade will still be our manager till the end of the season even if we lose the next 2, 3 or 4 matches.

Another riveting display but it was pleasing to see a Cardiff City player score. You've guessed it Adam (couldn't hit a barn door from 5 paces) Le Fondre scores for Bolton.

    No surprise there then.

    And Conway scored for Blackburn.
