A bit off topic but look at this superb piece of journalism on the BBC sport page "Hull striker Sone Aluko expressed on Twitter(external) his hope that elections in his native Nigeria would pass off peacefully." Really?
They've clearly been watching him though, not once in that line do they refer to him as a footballer and rightly so.
Just hope we put a performance on, just been on villa talk usual crap "all villa have to do is turn up and the 3pts are our, after all its only Hull ", come on city ram them words back down there throats.
I understand the desire to see Dame start but at this early stage of his city career he may be better used as an impact player from the bench till he gets up to speed. I'd go with: McGregor Elmo Mcshane Bruce Dawson Robertson Meyler Livermore Brady Ramirez Jelavic With Hernandez and dame on the bench to liven it up if it's not working. Huddlestone not in - super footballer but currently lost his mojo
With 14 games left this season and us desperately needing to stay up we really don't have time to spend 3 million on a striker and then sit him on the bench and use him as an impact player when we're really struggling.
Looking forward to a breakfast TV watch of the match with no real confidence. Villa have taken 14 of the 15 points played for in previous PL encounters and I predict a hard fought draw on this occasion.
McGregor Elmo (WB) Dawson Bruce Macca Robertson (WB) Livermore Huddlestone / Ramirez Meyler N'Doye Hernandez Fancy us to win tonight, as long as we look to attack and get Elmo & Robertson/Brady forward!
Notice that the weather forecast for Hull simply says 'FOG' and it's certainly clagging in here in Brid. How is it in Hull?
I'm thinking... McGregor Elmo Dawson Mcshane Bruce Brady Livermore Meyler Ramirez N'Doye Jelavic Maybe Hudds for Meyler. Got a feeling he may stick Davies in,what with the pace of Agbonlahor and Delph, but he'll probably stick with Saturday's back three. I'm thinking a narrow 1-0 win.
