If we can beat West Ham and Liverpool I will seriously start to believe. If we lose both, I also won't panic. It's a lovely position to be in.

and we don't have any cup distractions unlike Arsenal, Spuds, MUFC & Liverpool (I'll leave Chelsea & MCFC out of that list, for now) & that could make all the difference. god forbid if LFC or Spuds got to Europa Cup final tho =:-(

Just seen a video on #saintsfc of Filip arriving at Staplewood for his first training session.

Liverpool have Tottenham tonight, a cup game at the weekend, EL on Thursday and us on Sunday. We have West Ham and Liverpool over the next week and a half.

Please Ron, after the WH game, could you please put aside catching those little baggies during training and instead show the players how to put their boot through the ball. 90% of our game play is pretty much perfect, but we are turning into Arsenal with trying to walk the ball into the goal. Must say though that I am excited at the tactic of Pelle sitting a bit deeper and his flick ons feeding Elia and Mane, been along time since we had 2 quick forwards and JRod showed last year that most CBs do not like players running at or past them. Also Filip running at a tired defends could be a thing of beauty.

In fairness, Mane and Elia aren't too afraid of whacking it, going by the last couple of games.

When our rivals play each other it's best from our standpoint that they draw. Second best result is that the lower team wins. It's that simple. This is almost always the case. I say almost just in case someone can think of a complicated scenario where it might not always be true [I can't].

Second best scenario might be the lower team losing if they happen to have an easier run in :emoticon-0105-wink:

I'm going to this one, and bringing my mate at uni in Southampton to his 2nd Saints game.

His first one was the 8-0 win against Sunderland.

Hmm yeah, I get that, just..! Make that 3rd best, of course.

In the actual case, Liverpool have a sod of a run-in, plus let's not forget they are 5 points back from 4th place. As someone pointed out, 5 points are not much, and ordinarily that would be so, but they're a lot when there's only 14 games to go and they are amongst teams that tend to win most of the time.

Interesting clip. Must be quite daunting to walk into a new club, not knowing if the players will welcome you (or maybe resent you a little if you are taking their place). Nice that he has Tadic to talk to.

Morgan a doubt for tomorrow. 8 or 9 first team players missing. Djuricic in squad.

Might take a squad break away in March. Mayuka out for season after groin surgery.

Did I hear that correctly. I thought Ron said that if Osvaldo was happy to sign for Boca he was happy, but it sounded like he followed it up by saying he would be happy to have him here for 2 years. Anyone got a better ear for Dutch than me.

Apparently (according to Ron) Mayuka has hurt his groan :)
