i dont think he is worth it lettuce

 

£12mil is pushing it, wouldnt go above £10mil and i think the perfect price for him is £8mil. This way Blackpool make a profit of £7.5mil... But then again, if Bent is worth £24mil and Dzeko is worth £27mil then Adam may definitely be worth every penny at £12mil. Man City have made buying players a hell of alot harder for other clubs now as prices are inflated.

 

£12m is a lot for a player with only half a years worth of prem league experience.

I think he's worth it but hope we get him for around 9 mil. We've just got 6 mil for Babel that's only 3 mil for Adam.

 

When Ferguson says a player is worth £10m, fans shouldn't be worried. Take off Jason's agent fee it means he thinks Adam is only worth £2m.

 

Adam is worth in my opinion around £7m. He has spent a long time lost in squads and not used to being a center-piece of a team. Now he's gone to blackpool he became a big fish in a small pond, the pond got bigger and the fish grew with it, now we have a slightly big fish in a big pond.

He's had half a season where he's looked brilliant - but after having so long not competing at the highest level I feel his only advantage at the moment is the way blackpool play. I'm not sure buying him in the january window is the best thing; he looks like the sort of player who needs to know what his team-mates are thinking, which is why we should go for him as soon as the summer transfer window opens and then he has the summer to get used to the team.

Small Pond - Big fish (Blackpool in the championship)

Medium Pond - Slightly bigger fish (Blackpool just joining the prem league)

Big Pond (or so they'd like to think) - Even bigger fish (Blackpool now)

Charlie has grown with the club and I think he is just now developing as a player, but I think he might have reached his potential.

 

I'm only joking, just thought it was funny how you worded it!

Would like to see Adam join this week but I wouldn't pay more than 6-7 million for him. He's had a good season so far and that reminds me of Kevin Doyles first top flight season with reading when he was one of the top scorers if I remember correctly.

In a perfect world we'd wait till next January to see if "second season syndrome" sets in for Charlie. Think someone might snap him up in the summer though at least.

 

I know this is off subject a bit, but is the Adam bid also smoke screens for other bids? For example, we have offered 12.7 for Suarez and it was turned down, then it comes out we had also bid for Adebayor? Are we also bidding for someone similar o Charlie's role that we do not know of? Van Bommel has signed with AC so it can't be him.

I think NESV, Commoli, and Kenny are keeping a lot of this closed doors other than the two bids we have made. Also, imo, Charlie would help now but if he would be cheaper in the summer, see how he develops this next half of the season. Was it Geovanni with Hull who looked like a world beater then himself and the whole team almost got relegated!!

 

I hope this goes through. Technically I think Adam is outstanding. A fantastic footballer with a magic wand for a left foot. I'm not sure about his fitness, but get him in now and then we can work on his conditioning in the pre-season.

I want him on board though.

whats all this talk about fish, i live in grimsby and we do fish in big amounts round here. what do u wanna know, u seem to be a bit confused about the size of fish (its all about EEC quotas and net sizes) and ponds

 

He's probably worth about £6m because he only has half a seasons worth of experience. He is a crackin player tho and I think he would a quality addition.

 

I reckon 8-9m would get him. Maybe 10 at a push, depending on how far Comolli/the club wants to go.
