Either that or kevin friend disallows a perfectly good goal and sends defoe off ignoring a blatent penalty sending him off for diving
We really need to retain the ball and slow things right down ........ Bradford want to keep things frantic whereby anything can happen. Stead is their best player and better on the ground than I remember. I'd be happy with a draw and a televised replay at the SOL. We'd be copping the money denied to Bradford on Sunday
I may blame the fact that Short has been given a lesson in style by the Bradford leprechaun. please log in to view this image
Christ, that is ridiculous. I can understand Bradford not wanting to take up Gus' kind offer of playing at the SOL, as it's their home match, but maybe there's a local field available we can stick a couple nets on? Pretty sure Gus said they would have the groundsman **** up one of the training pitches in preparation for it - not sure if it was tongue in cheek or not?
If the pitch is that bad surely Mr Friend, in the interests of safety to the players, can postpone it until it is fit to play on.
Double edged sword mate. Pants can be sluggish getting down and anything bobbling could trouble him, but at the same time, not a lot of football will be played on the deck, dealing with anything in the air isn't vito's strong point. Both keepers could struggle with this pitch.
Try and play football on that pitch and we are out I think - no backpasses and play Fletch, Wickham and Graham up front everything has to go aerial for me
We need to play football in their defensive third and hoof-ball in ours. We should endlessly play the ball across the line outside their area and look to slip it through to runners or get behind them, no rush. The only time Bradford looked dangerous, last night, was when they made the game frantic which we need to avoid. Chelsea made that mistake and paid for it. The slower the game the better imo, which is the last thing Bradford or their supporters want.
