The Hoops are currently looking for a new manager following Harry Redknapp's decision to step down last week. Allardyce, whose West Ham side are currently eighth in the Premier League, is out of contract in the summer. When asked if QPR should approach the 60-year-old, Murphy told talkSPORT: "Yeah. Why not? He is proven at keeping teams in the Premier League. "Would he leave West Ham to go to QPR? I'm not sure, but anybody who is fighting down the bottom would do well getting a better appointment than Big Sam." Allardyce has been West Ham boss since 2011.
Agree it's extremely unlikely but he's not signed a contract for next season I believe so a lucrative offer (aren't they always?) from Fernandes with a Pulis-esque survival bonus could be tempting.
He meets all of Fernandes' criteria except being young, in it for the long term and keen on developing youth rather than buying. Other than those, a perfect fit.
Oh dear oh dear ohhhhhhhh dear . I've heard it all now . What the feck have u put in your pipe! The most stooooooopidest suggestion ever Why would Sam commit career suicide !?
