I don't know if I agree with the bit about we managed quite well. One goal was a mistake the other two were awful defending from our back four, 2 of whom were Dawson and Davies
Back 4 doesn't look good without defensively sound full-backs. Clearly Elmo and Robertson are far more suited to playing as wing-backs, and for me that means playing 352. Given our also midfield struggles as a 2 in the middle, 352 also gives us more bodies in the middle of the park.
How is Macca a bad influence? Cos Bruce fell out with him months ago? They kissed and made up, Bruce has confirmed as much publicly. Unless there's been a further twist that I've missed, I don't know why people are saying he's a bad egg.
I think a back 4 should only be deployed when we don't have enough fit players for a 3-5-2. I think we look dreadful playing with 2 centre halves - we always look vulnerable to conceding a goal.
I'm sure Bruce got Mcshane to apologise not only to himself but the other players aswell, maybe McShane has upset a few players at the club. however when are we able to loan a player in, we still have a loan spot available and it would be stupid not to make the most of it. I'd happily let Mcshane and & Sagbo go, if it meant we are able to loan in a decent RB or central midfielder!
You're right, it would be. Oh. We can't loan anybody in, unless Jakupovic, Harper and Mags all get injured, then we're allowed an emergency keeper on loan, but that's it until Summer now.
Until the summer Sagbo can only go to lower league sides on loan, or to Leagues like the MLS where the transfer window is still open (basically anywhere that runs a January-December footballing year rather than our July-June). In the summer he's gone because he's out of contract. Unless we've expressly given him permission he can only do that if he fancies going to a foreign league. The FA has specific rules about English based players talking to English based clubs before the end of the season. There's not really such thing as a recall clause between now and the summer. Any first team squad player already out on loan when the window closed will be out on loan until the summer because you can't recall long term loans outside of a transfer window. Anyone that leaves after the window has closed will be gone for 28 days minimum. After that they can be brought back when ever we, the player, or the other club wants because that's just how emergency loans work.
I'd keep him till he stops giving us 100%,or until his 100% isn't good enough. It will be the latter.
We need players like Macca to get out of this threat of relegation. They have the stomach and big kahunas for a battle.
If Bruce Jnr wasn't Bruce Snrs son, those over egging Maccas contributions every time he plays, he'd have songs about him and would be described as not particularly gifted but a real trier and a club legend when he's playing. Macca finally going will be a welcome indication of the clubs future intentions.

McShane, Bruce,Meyler ect may not be the most gifted players at the club, but the do have in spades,the qualities we need right now and that's big balls and the stomach for a scrap
