I have never slagged this team off but Zarate, isla vargas and Austin are worth keeping the rest can **** off, Hill and Dunne need putting out to graze, we should have kept Mutch and sold Fer. Chris wright can **** off as well. Barton is still a liability. Onuhaha is going backwards. Taraabt is a one trick pony, 99% of the time it goes wrong.
Get Laudrup in now and start again.
    Relegation again

I disagree, I thought we put in a good effort against a very strong team who are deservedly 4th in the league. Soton had few attempts at goal and we largely matched them. I do not think it was as much the players (although Ned had a stinker IMO) but more the manner in which the team seem to play as a group. The last minute goals will cost us though, 2 points against Swansea, 1 against Liverpool and another today, could make all the difference.

Why was Ned at right back? I've never seen him play a decent game there even in the Championship. Hill is just too old to play at left back, we haven't a prayer with players who are NOT Premier League average quality in such key positions.

Next up Sunderland and Defoe must be rubbing his hands at the prospect...

Some balance from a Saints fan, posted on Twitter:

@jamesinkson: If QPR keep playing like they did today, there's no chance they'll be relegated. They were impressive. We got a bit lucky. #SaintsFan

LIUTB - it might give you some solace to know that Chris Wright ****ed off some 15 years ago.

I also think we held our own against a very decent team. Fer looked much more effective playing centrally, and although our tendency to give the ball away easily continues, we did move it with more purpose than we have for a while. I was disappointed in Traore; seemed too tired to drive forward even with a good chunk of the game left. Overall, I thought we were good value for a point and but for a wonder (jammy?) save we may even have snatched it. Having said all that, it did have the feel of a death-knell result...

Today's team sums it up for me & our disastrous transfer dealings in the summer & January all they can do is shuffle the deck chairs but the result is the same which is an imbalanced team.

Last year our season was largely built on the back of a solid defence (9 clean sheets in a row) whereas this season in a better league we're either playing players out of position or who don't have the legs for those position. Today for example Onouha is no RB & Hill can no longer play LB yet week after week we persist with doing this. As we can no longer strengthen all we can do is change the formation we means a back 5 with WB's rather than full backs.
