    Have you mis-read Cest?

    I'd suggest that saying 'she must have something quite special about her' is actually quite complimentary!

    Ermm. before this thread degenerates any further I am quite proud that we are one of only a few football clubs in the world with a female CEO. I think having a young female CEO is clear demonstration of how forward thinking as a club Sunderland are. There are government-led intiatives to have large organisations recruit more women to top jobs so I for one think that it shows the club understands the need to change the culture in football board rooms and FA and premier league committees. Ellis Short is American remember, and there are many more women CEO's in the States. For me this just confirms (even though I knew it already) that with Niall Quinn as Chairman and Ellis Short as owner, Sunderland AFC is a top class outfit.

    <ok>

    Fair one mate, we were just playing up to our Northern stereotypes for a wee while.

    I'm sure she's a great appointment for the club.
