Someone told me today, that there is a possibility of Fraser Richardson rejoining us from Southampton, especially if we can unload Francis to Bournemouth.

    Views everybody.

last week Soton fans were quite happy to keep Richardson and Butterfield for the Championship. Why would they want to off load him now?

If it's true, and that's a big if, then I'll drive Francis there myself.
Provided he chips in for petrol.

The two don't compare. Richardson is class.

Richardson goes forward well like Francis but is more solid as a defender so I'd have him back in a heartbeat

for some unknown reason Southampton have Butterfield over Richardson as 1st choice right back

after some thought I can only think that it's done on purpose to have a dig at us.

Butterfield is a Palace man always was even in a Charlton shirt and I always booed him regardless throughout his spell with us. Parky's biggest mistake ever during his reign.

I'd have Richardson back in a heartbeat

I'd have Richardson straight back no doubt whatsoever. Top player at this level.

As a player I didn't think Butterfield was that bad, a lot better than many of the other loanees. A better RB than Francis for that matter. Of course, where he came from made it a bit awkward...

Saw this on twitter- hmm, think it would take the 400k they paid to bring him back. Would love it, but am sceptical about it.

Depends how much Saints really care about the fee if it means getting wages off etc. A money club like them, it may not be a huge issue, if they can recoup a bit, because they're more likely going to spend a whole bunch more on their squad than this move would represent out. But, it's all a bit hearsay and hopeful right now anyway

They don't need to get him off the books though, so they have leverage in that they would probably more than happy to have him in the squad. If we want him, I think we would have to show them the money (to quote a popular 90's movie).

I was pretty happy with Solly's performances last season, and will be quite happy if he is RB this season with Francis as understudy.

Think Francis will be gone to be honest, Bournemouth are likely to make a second offer and I don't think CP rates him.

Strangely I had a dream last night that Richardson resigned for us, if it comes true I'll start taking requests for Tarot readings and seance's ;)

Voted Richardson our player of the year in the season he was here, if it's simply a case of the £400k then given the money that's been spent I reckon it'll happen. More likely to be his wages that'll be an issue, unfortunately, surely he must be on more at St Mary's than he would be with us. Then again, he'll get 1st team football here.

    In short... sign him up!

Guys this won't happen, he was injured a lot last year hence why he didn't get in the squad, when he was fit he played. We also had a squad rotation in place towards the end due to fixture congestion. He will be a siants player next year. That said, good luck next season though.

'someone' told you. Ok then. As Leon said, this won't happen, neither will Bailey as rumoured earlier on this season.
