I thought the rules we're changed after the Watford thing? The owners of Watford also owned Udinese (I think it was Udinese?) and loaned practically a whole first team to Watford. I'm pretty sure the rules were changed after?! Though, it probably limited it to five or something.

Other than Santon, I cant see the problem.
The other loans, are mostly just a cull of non-performing youngsters, who will never make it at NUFC.
Harsh, not really, but probably true.

If they're not good enough, ship them out otherwise they take up vital spaces needed for the next batch.
Any decent players amongst them, need game time, playing competitive football and developing, not sitting on their arses.

It still doesn't make NO players in sensible.

Clearing the deck for an assault on the transfer market in the summer to give us a starting 11 and reserve 11 of "purple players" maybe.

It is asset stripping even though the loans are of players who might not make it at the highest level. The problem is we are not replacing any players with new players, young or old. We have literally nothing to look forward to in terms of development players if he keeps getting shot of them. If I was a player looking in and the players agent and the toon came knocking I would be like "no chance me going there, no ambition, no loyalty, get sold against my will, **** that".

Same as any potential managerial candidate...we're stuck with Carver and will be for the foreseeable.....we're ****ed.

We may as well all turn up at the ground, climb onto our seats and put our arses in the air as we're getting right royally ****ed in the arse by the fat man.

What I find so utterly frustrating is that if we had bought, say, Danny Ings and Ryan Shawcross (just for example, but basically a CF and CB), there could be an argument for not having anything to complain about. As a club, we got rid of the manager with the abysmal cup record and made £3m, are sat in 11th within reach of 8th, are about to post profits in excess of £40m and have a Geordie in charge. We also have a hugely wealthy owner who has given us a tidy club to use to blood some of our younger players, so that their chance of success improves. Our squad feature the likes of De Jong, Colo, Cisse, Sissoko, Tiote, Janmaat and Cabella, with a smattering of highly talented youngsters such as Perez, Aarons, Armstrong and Abeid. There's not a great deal of depth, which is where buying 2 more at least should have happened, but otherwise.....are we all a bit guilty of dragging this all down too much?

It's not like we've ever won a cup, either, so the pedigree isn't there and - like it or not - the World we live in contains Chelsea, Man City, Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Don't think its so much that, just the fact that we are either told nowt or being constantly lied to, fobbed off, made fools out of and then taken for mugs.

You're pretty spot on with your thoughts on the players we do have and with a couple of additions should be easily finishing in the top 10 come May. If we had brought the right manager in when pardew left I'd say we had a decent shot at it, as it stands though nowt has changed much with carver in charge...apart from dropping Le gouff, but then he brings him on as sub and he flipping scores...so he'll probably be back in the team this weekend now!

I fully expect a few new faces to come in over summer to paper over the cracks again just like what happened when we went on our 6 game unbeaten run when pardews cock was on the block. We get our hopes up and then they are just ripped apart.

By this point in my post i had made myself quiet angry about it and was looking more at the picture overall than just the 5 loans.

Overall it looks like asset stripping re the manager position and the sales we have been forced to accept in the past pushing us closer and closer to a bare bones squad that has the base number of players required and no (adequate) cover for some of those positions.

If these guys are not gonna be needed by NUFC then its a good deal. The worry is we don't know what MA is trying to do and so it allows for speculation. A lack of trust is the main problem.

The fact these were not put in the public domain until midnight is a worry for me. If it was for the good of the club what's the problem announce them to the media as such. Why does the club feel the need to interact with the fans (customers) in this way?

For me it all points toward he is looking at the exit. Equally though with the lack of information anything could happen or could be happening. We are in MA's hands he is in control and we are along for the ride.
