I think Onuoha is a great bloke and I'm a fan of his but I've come to the conclusion he's not a PL centre-half. Would like to be proved wrong but I feel Caulker/Dunne should be first choice
"Among those mistakes has been a willingness to waste big money on players who saw Loftus Road as a pleasant retirement home or who simply were not up to the job. QPR insiders insist the dressing room atmosphere is much-improved but even now they have the second oldest squad in the top flight." - from the Arry obit in the guardian today...
Dreaming dreaming dreaming !!!! That squad is a piss poor Prem squad what is wrong with people . ?! Full of has beens , relegated players players with poor attitude , poor commitment or not experienced enough for prem . Fer and Austin really only players that look like could play for another item team Deluded606 ! Cmon really Harry ****ed us
Sorry Jimbo, I'm not with you there. If that squad really is that terrible and we were never likely to buy in the transfer window then we should have stuck by Arry as he was obviously getting as much as anyone could from them. If, like me, you think they are good players but weren't coached/motivated as they should have been then the same group should perform better under a new manager. Just my opinion though.
So if people think the squad not too bad (I disagree as completely imbalanced) who's the next to get the blame if results don't pick up?
I see where your coming from , I just think even on paper if they are playing well still not quite Prem quality on a whole , bar Austin and fer and possibly isla and tarabt .
I think you've got PL quality players, but they're mostly what you'd look at as the weaker half of pairings. So like at centre back, any of them could form a decent partnership at this level, if it was with another player that was that little bit better than them. You've got all the "Nicky Butt"s, rather than the "Paul Scholes"es. Together they're alright, but you wouldn't want 2 Nicky Butts if you were in the position Man U were in at the time. And before someone says it, some times this season we've had the weaker halves of L2 pairings.
I can't believe that we are carrying him for another half season - in step with Harry, retiring now would have been the honourable thing for him as he is definitely not contributing to our cause.
