Plymouth MP's raise the question of Argyles demise in the Commons last night ( 6th July), suggesting that able businessmen seen to leave their brains at the turnstiles when the chance of making money from football appears.

Sounds about right. Mind you accountants do not seem to be able to count either when dealing with football money.

"Argyles demise" ? plymborn has something happened I don't know about. We aren't quite dead even if it was touch and go with several episodes of the kiss of life being administered. What does a "local" MP know about Argyle? Naff all along with most of the Councillors of this Parish. The only time they care much is when it suits them to jump on the open top bus when something good has happened. If it was Michael Foot, and that would take a bit of doing now, then I would give some credit for an MP mentioning us in the House but not this self serving bunch of twats. That particular party couldn't even run it's own accounts let alone lecture others on how they do theirs.

The publicity is always useful...........we'll be mentioned in Hansard now .......for posterity........... another first for the good ship Pilgrim.

PS..........Our local MP a member of the con party (emphasis on con)........is Jo Johnson........Boris's little brother..........didn't know where Orpington was until he suddenly fell into the seat at the last election.........scraped in with something like 70% of total vote...........I have never in my adult life ever had my preferred (sorry shouldn't have used that word) candidate elected to parliament.
