Next PL boss to leave his post: Tony Pulis

Tony Pulis has history of the very recent variety where his transfer demands and the restraints shackled upon him have collided to catastrophic effect, meaning events at Loftus Road incur added significance.

Barring a shock reappointment Harry Redknapp will not be hanging out of any car windows on transfer deadline day as QPR boss in future.

    Former QPR boss Harry Redknapp

The former Tottenham manager has officially resigned from his post and although it’s another ex-Lilywhites shot-caller – Tim Sherwood at 1/10 – whose name has shot to the sharp-end of the bwin betting to replace him, Pulis represents a fascinating alternative at a livewire price.

Set at 50/1 in the immediate aftermath of Redknapp’s resignation (supposedly owing to impending knee surgery rather than results) there is nothing as iffy about the legs of this particular bet.

Palace’s transfer inactivity last summer was the core reason why the Welshman tendered his own letter of resignation and parted company by mutual consent.

Flash forward several months and the situation at West Brom has taken on a similarly combustible quality, with Pulis bound to be upset by the failure of his new club to land his intended January targets.

The baseball-cap clad gaffer identified a striker as critical to turning around the Baggies’ fortunes, but a deadline-day move for Carlton Cole couldn’t be pulled off.

Meanwhile, although experienced midfielder Darren Fletcher was lured from Manchester United and winger Callum McManaman arrived for £4.75m from Wigan, other targets slipped through the net.

Principally, out-of-favour Spurs midfielder Etienne Capoue never materialised, nor Norwich full-back Martin Olsson, which is sure to have irked Pulis greatly.

Given the tinder-like conditions at the Hawthorns, this must surely slop a whole load of value onto history repeating and Pulis becoming available for the QPR reckoning.

Watch this hefty price shrivel if that transpires to be the case.

Yes please from me too. But seems very unlikely.

Unlikely, and would fly in face of Les Ferdinand's appointment as Director of Football. Pulis would want more control

What nonsense. Why would we employ someone who would have resigned twice in a year because he wasn't given enough money to spend?

after spending nothing in this transfer window, and TF stating we are not going to be a buying club in the future, im sure Mr Pulis would love to manage our club

It's almost like these articles from betting websites have some sort of agenda to them...

Surely he wouldn't leave just yet. And if he did, I wouldn't be confident in him staying for long at QPR either.

Also, he'd be at odds with our apparent new policy to recruit from within and not splash the cash.
