    In this one respect.

Every time he is asked about whether we can avoid the drop he always replies that he is confident we can do it (debatable) but he also says something along the lines of, 'We've just got to keep going. Otherwise we might as well pack up and go home' (absolutely correct).

What's done is now done, or perhaps, more accurately, not done. Speculation about who might have come and why they did not and why that might have been is vacuous and irrelevant.

The team now know what they need to do. Some players are coming back that might make some difference (Yun, Niko, Sandro and even - well you know who I mean) so our job now is to get behind Harry and the team and support them to the hilt.

There is still a long way to go and many, many points to be played for. We beat the odds in May 13. Many believe that this team has what it takes in terms of quality to be better than three other teams around us. I'm choosing to believe that until the numbers are critically against us.

    Good post mate.

That's why I started a "your team for Saturday" thread. Time to move on and hope and pray for a miracle.

I rather fear it is miracle time. BUT, we got one first season in PL, then again in May 14 so why not a third time?!!

Well, there's not a lot between ourselves and Leicester, Burnley, Hull and Villa imo, so there is a chance.
    It's between us 5 imo.

The sentiment of the post is both admirable and correct, there is one particular quote attributed to Redknapp that is both alarming and creates despondency

*We've just got to keep going" - This implies that we are doing the right things and that in due time our turn will come. There is no semblance of evidence that Redknapp and his team of coaches accept that preparation and management of team has not been good enough, no admittance of guilt in any aspect of this situation.

For me, the final straw of incompetence within the club is the loan farce re. Jarvis and Zarate. To not even know the rules of your trade is simply unforgiveable, this careless attitude would not be accepted in any other form of working life and I doubt at many other clubs. I'm really surprised the press have not had a field day on this as yesterday was rather low on newsworthy stories.

One thing can at least be now stated within our fellow supporters - NEVER CAN IT BE AGAIN STATED AND RETORTED THAT SIMPLY BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE ARE FORTUNATE TO BE EMPLOYED BY A FOOTBALL CLUB, THAT THIS AUTOMATICALLY INVOKES THE LAW THAT THEY KNOW MORE THAN THE AVERAGE JOE WHO LOVES HIS TEAM, LOVES FOOTBALL, HAS HALF DECENT EYE SIGHT AND A SCINTILLA OF INTELLIGENCE.

Forget about the results, not knowing the rules of engagement is gross misconduct, especially when you consider the position now placed under the temporary employee.

In short, we of course pray for the miracle every Matchday, the remainder of the days we are left with indisputable cold facts, trends and what we witness with our eyes. It's time for this man who has NEVER been a superstar football trainer to remember his previous words that "the owner has had his pants taken down" and for once do the honorable thing and resign. Oh for a Holloway, whatever his faults, this was a man with values.

I'm afraid that is probably what I miss the most in all this - the uprightness, the humbleness, the constant care, the ownership, the respect and care for our people, values that need to be lived and breathed by any organization that wants to succeed.

Until we have those in place we only have a team and club we love, not one we can be proud of.

    Good post RTID.

No point crying over spilt milk. Only thing we can affect is the future. Up to the players now. If they want it hard enough there is nothing that can't be done.

Excellent mate the above has to be the norm surely from any PL club who wants to stay in the division.

Unfortunately, I now feel defeated and the only comments I can now make about Arry and his squad of coaches are one word.............or maybe two!!!....

Top post Danish. Lots of passion and basic values to be instilled in everyone at the club. That is what will lead to success on and off the pitch.

I'm accepting of the fact that it looks like Redknapp is staying until at least the end of the season, I just want him to take the opportunity to prove to all his critics that he is able to manage, motivate and coach the team to deliver significantly better results which the owners and supporters deserve. Sometimes even the good guy has to get some fortune.

Agree entirely about the Jarvis/Zarate debacle. The way it was handled was amateur at best. Presumably we're left with Zarate who's unfit and doesn't feel warmly about our club after we wanted to reject him

Do we definitely know it was us that were incompetent in the Zarate/Jarvis swap? As I understand it, it was West Ham that wanted Zarate back to replace Cole and offered us Jarvis as a replacement. Maybe it was West Ham that got it wrong.

Anyway good post RTID, I'm struggling & disillusioned with the R's at the moment.

It works for me...it is a realtime betting odds list....and over the last couple of hours the odds have been getting markedly shorter on Arry leaving....and on two bookies sites...it has been suspended.
