After I suffered my 2nd stroke, unable to talk properly and really down my wife said "I know you can't go to Cardiff for a while but why not see if there is anything on the computer to keep you busy"

I had never thought of joining message boards before then, I searched for Cardiff City MB and was surprised that there were 4, AAMB, Mike Morris MB, BBC606 and Cardiff City Club MB.

The one on the Clubs official web page was crap only a few posters. So for a while I watched the other 3 it did not take long for me too know that AA & MM boards were not for me so I joined BBC606.

The stroke had left me with difficulties with spelling and grammar so my fist few posts were short but I found that most posters on 606 were ok and all had Cardiff City in their heart.

I've had my runs in with a few mostly over the way the Jacks get away scott free even when they are baiting Cardiff posters.

The last few weeks have annoyed me so much, posters I thought would run through walls for Cardiff City have nothing good to say about the club.

Have we gone too far ? or is it time to change the name to Not606 Cardiff City Moaners ?

Read our board last night and felt suicidal, nothing upbeat on there.

Watching us play is bloody depressing. Hardly say its moaning when what's been served up by a club that was in the Prem less than a year ago is such dross.

Dai - perhaps the ones you thought would "run through a brick wall for the club" are at the moment just bashing their heads against it and not getting through?

This club is a shambles on and off the pitch. The only thing most of us want is to watch our club play decent football that produces results even if it does go wrong on times - the rest of the "big business" stuff should merely be a sideshow.

The fact is that it's not just a sideshow. The poor decisions made by our current and recent on-pitch management is reflected in those from the top downwards that chose the clowns who are instrumental in ruining our enjoyment of the game.

It's affecting both the club and the games we watch - **** runs downhill every time and ends up on the pitch.

Good post Dai and great to see you still here despite the odd fall out.

Yes, it can be very negative but surely the club has a responsibility in this. We have been served gone off fruit on the field in recent months and the club don't seem to know what direction it is taking.

In saying that, there are some bright points. While the players we have signed have not been top draw in the eyes of many, at least Tan has shown he has not pulled the rug out. He is still releasing funds to bolster the team. Okay they could be funds generated from player sales and a reduced wage bill but it is obvious we had to do some of this to cover off Financial Fair Play. If Tan wanted out now then players would have gone with no replacements.

As to the quality of those brought in, they are not Prem class (but might be in the future, who knows?) but can do a job in the Championship. Both Bournemouth and Brentford have had success this season with players taken on locally or bought from other Championship or lower clubs, e.g. Callum Wilson at Bournemouth for one.

Maybe we needed to take a step back to go forwards, time will tell. For me and many others the issue now is, is Slade up to it. Initial indications are he is not but now he has players he wanted we need to see a change in direction both on and off the field to give us encouragement for next season.

If that happens then the prevailing negativity may start to lift.

What a depressing thread. Things will improve when Lord Vinny and Uncle Festa packs up and leave Dai. :emoticon-0158-time:

This is on a par with how I feel.

We're entitled to moan, whinge, criticise etc given the terrible football we've been subjected to since last January, and seeing our club being run into the ground.

Ok we're back in blue but I want to see some decent football, and not go down to CCS and watch the opposition pick us apart with such ease..

Even a single performance to give a bit of hope would be nice.

I haven't felt this down about the club for a very long time (if ever). Style of play is horrendous, we've released a number of footballers with ability.
I love the tactical side of the game, our manager does not.

I said before it happened the Blue anger was masking all other issues at the club. It was all vented at Tan and the shirts. It was bollocks, we've been **** for 12 months and on a downward spiral that's where the real anger was coming from imo, the shirts were an easy target.
I'm happy we're Blue again but the problems run much deeper than anything that can be fixed by a change of colour.

DJ, hope your health is stable now, I know you've had your ups and downs over the last few seasons. It's not inspiring reading here. I try not be too negative, and I tend to be an optimist, but for optimism you need a vision and some commitment. At present, with Tan and Slade I don't see a way forward and the players seem to have given up. A few whole hearted games from the players and a description of what we are trying to achieve from the management would give some hope, even if we were still losing games.

We need to rally round the team, but they need to give us something to rally around!

    Don't be a stranger Dai.

Dai, hope you are well mate. On a positive note, i notice Whitts has said that the playing staff are all confident the fortunes will turn around and they all want to win for Mr Slade, so whatever ever you think of the current situation, which can seem a little dire at the moment, i think as fans we should all dig deep at the moment and see how things pan out over the next 4 games, lets try and be positive with the 3 signings from yesterday and hope that the manager plays Doyle up top with Kenwyn, plus it was good to see us signing a winger from Everton. Its a Welsh thing for everything to be half empty, so perhaps we could rename our forum 'The half full' thread. Keep well Dai and lets look forward to some success. We got through the dross of the Durban era et al, i am sure we can weather the current blip.

Me too. I really think we will not lose tomorrow at least to set us for a home game next Tuesday.

Even if Brighton are something of a bogey team for us at CCS.<yikes>

It's the nature of fans though isn't it? We complain about the way we're playing right now even though we're 9th in the Prem. I've done it myself because we were terrible at St Mary's but won the game. There's usually something to moan about and you have a terrible Chairman and are struggling in a lower division with a Manager that seems not to be able to inspire fans or players.

    I'd be complaining too. :emoticon-0120-doh:

Hope you're well now Mr Jones. <hug>
