Bit of an HRH Custard-style post... but more international broadcasters took Saturday's game than any other Premiership game in history... 24 beating United v City: 19 in 2012. I guess United Liverpool or maybe United Arsenal would have generated the most interest previously when they were Champions League clubs.
Viewership is increased year on year as well as growing populations ergo growing numbers of viewers, these records will be broken over and over and over. There are probably more broadcasters now than ever before too as well as increased PL proliferation globally But we'll not let that get in the way of a bit of bragging now will we.
Watched it in Melbourne . Summer here so early morning start at 5am, was not too painful, with a coffee on the go. Pity it was such a crappy game !!
This means more people around the world now know Joses prefered tactic......handbrake If that was cosidered a top premiership game figures will be well down in future.
It wasn't a great advertisement for the Premiership at all tbf. There were reasons obviously, league positions and points, missing players and tired players. I guess I can take solace in the fact that we tired Chelsea with that extra time game during the week that prevented them going 8 points clear #Edebcantplaytwogamesinaweek
Poor advert for the English PL and a particularly poor advert for Chelsea. Parking the bus and the lowest number of attempts on goal in a home game for a decade isn't exactly entertainment. Bradford obviously scared the **** out of Jose.
City weren't that good either. They may have wanted a win more, but they are 5 points behind and only when Chelsea were obviously content with a point did City pour it on, in an ineffective way. They played 10 minutes of good football at the end, up to that Chelsea were handling them with ease. Maybe they should have broadcast United v Leicester instead
