Couldn't be any worse and would kick some arses. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ngham-Forest-after-dismal-run-of-results.html
I'm not convinced he is any better than Slade. Yet another example of a top player who failed in management.
Sparkey - You know me better than to think I'm gloating. For what it's worth I think England U21 managers are unemployable. Peter Taylor was/is useless. Pearce was sacked before he got the U21 job and now sacked after. And I don't rate Southgate's chances when he next tries a hot seat. Basically I hope you don't end up with Pearce but you are between a rock and a hard place right now. The Yeovil fans over here reckon Slade's as bad a manager as they've ever had.
No to Pearce. What's he ever won as a club manager. I would have said yes to Colin a year ago but think he's now past his use by date. As shown by recent Palace spell. I would prefer someone younger with ideas and ambition and capable of motivating the players. On the face of it we couldn't afford him but if Tan was still serious about the club then Tim Sherwood
Forest have appointed/or will appoint Dougie Freedman. I wouldn't be happy if I was a Forest fan. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...gham-Forest-boss-Stuart-Pearce-s-sacking.html
My comment abot Pearce the other week was purely based on thinking he would get the boot at Forest. I don't think he's a good manager and don't want him.
How about the manager at ADSA across the road? Great team spirit, til girls always smiling...couldn't do any worse, surely.
The thread was posted tongue in cheek guys, but any port in a storm eh?.............and the moment we're in the eye of a bloody hurricane! Seriously though, we must get the right guy on board this time. After Ole the wally and Russ the wuss, Tan and Dalman should be ashamed of themselves.
Warnock would keep us mid table and maybe a little better. For that reason he's streets ahead of Slade. To be fair the Asda manager is probably not a cliché filled moron who thinks the ball touching the pitch is something to be ashamed of, therefore is probably a better option too. I'm not surprised the Yeovil fans don't rate him, he's clueless. Orient were about to have to sack him and pay up his contract because they were bottom end of L1. Then we turn up and pay them compensation to take the prick off their hands. You literally couldn't make it up. My Mrs is furious about it but I'm not renewing till he's gone or he starts trying to pass the ****ing ball. You can walk into any park in South Wales and watch numpties lumping the ball forward aimlessly, I don't need to pay £850 a year for that. If the thread about the players being in revolt is correct his days are very much numbered anyway. Oh and in answer to the question, no thanks to Stuart Pearce even though he's not Slade. I mentioned it elsewhere but Adkins would be my pick of the obviously available experienced managers. I don't think we can afford another total gamble.
Adkins knows the division well and would certainly steady the ship. He likes his teams to play football as opposed to hoofball too. And he's "resting" at present. His recent time at Reading was a disaster though which would be a bit of a concern.
Sack Slade now.......Bellamy as interim 'till end of season, then depending which division we're in.......
Wouldn't actually mind Bellers. He's inexperienced but he can't do any worse than Slade and throwing him in the deep end might work - bit like Monk at Swansea?
The fact that Bellers couldn't do any worse than Slade is hardly a recommendation. He needs to cut his teeth elsewhere as an assistant before he assumes full responsibility for a club in a downward spiral like ours. There's no doubt Slade has contributed to that spiral, but there's a frying pan and there's a fire. Before we jump out of one into the other, we need someone with solid ideas - dogma and inexperience are equally as bad.
