he's lost something, god knows what it is but we just don't seem to be able to do anything right, from 1 to 11 silly mistakes are being made, and bloody punished
Phelan coming in is the last roll of the dice for Bruce I try to remain positive but it dont look good for us we need to pull clear before that hard run in but dont look anywhere near up for it at all.
You can't blame Bruce. He's trying new things like... er.... Huddlestone and Livermore together at CM. I mean, it's not like he is persisting with a partnership at the core of our team that has failed miserably for the last year both in results and performances... Just get another new striker and keep playing that CM and everything will be fine.
he seems to have lost his plan A probably starting 2 returning strikers didnt help - i cant think of a positive from today - even TWS won
Huddlestone has been shocking most of the year. Livermore no better if any. Diame would be better in a wheelchair than both
At one point Hudd and Livermore were both left jogging back as the ball was played through an empty centre circle. Thats bad at any level.
TBH if I was SB I'd just walk. I know Phelan's supposed to be coming but I don't know what he's going to add. I don't want SB out before anyone thinks that but if I was him I'd seriously just give it up. How many times can you bollock them for playing like that.
Ah football clichés. 'The manager has lost the dressing room' What about 'We're not trying hard enough'.
If we go down every player should be made to stay and take a pay cut. Its their fault we are in this position but come relegation they will be wanting to leave thinking they deserve better.
If he did walk out he would get slated for bottling it, the players need to take a look at themselves Hudd, Livermore have been shocking thats where our problem is. If your centre mid players are not dominating the so called weaker teams then this is what it leads too. Get a ball winning hard bastard in. Charlie Adam been mentioned on here as an example we are too nice.
I'm glad he said that, it was obvious today that several players were simply not showing the required levels of desire and guts. Sadly, I think its been heading that way for a while now, and even more disappointingly, it seems to be those who will be raking in the biggest salaries that are giving the least. What can Bruce do about the fannies in the squad? I'm just desperately disappointed in several individuals in the team, not for the first time. Can't blame Bruce for everything.
Who's fault is it those individual fannies are here and playing like fannies? Who's fault is it they're allowed on the pitch to play like fannies?
You know this has already crossed my mind a couple of times. Weren't both Huddleston and Dawson in the Spurs team that was struggling a few seasons ago, I remember them being around the relegation places for quite a while and then there was a change of manager and they escaped. But did Thudd and Dawson keep their places in the team?
Sounds to me that Bruce can see what we see, he pointed it out post-match, so no doubt he's been banging his head against a wall trying to sort them out, but it's difficult with some personalities. I don't see why it's all Bruce's fault. He's dropped them before and I believe he will now drop them again. Another manager still has to stimulate the same wet fannies as Bruce has been trying, and failing to do. I don't see Gary Megson or Tim Sherwood having any more success.
It's crystal clear to me that we lack someone of the mindset of Ashbee, out there on the park, in what should be the heat of the battle. Instead we have Huddlestone jogging around aimlessly, Davies, the captain, making mistake after mistake, McGregor giving the opposition three quarters of his goal to aim at and then looking all sad and forlorn when the opposition makes the most of the opportunity, etc., etc., etc. These players need to get a ****ing grip but unfortunately there's no one out there on the pitch with them to give them that reality check. We have a team of nice guys whose heads simply drop when the game goes against them. Ashbee may not have been the most skilful of players but he sure as hell would have given this set of weak kneed ****ers a gigantic kick up the arse! Oh and we desperately need midfielders that can link to forwards. It's so easy for teams when they play us, stop the crosses from the flanks and we're ****ed!
