Well we can forget about this transfer window gus has said he expects no new faces. I agree go back to the 4 2 3 1 formation and buy a box 2 box midfielder to play the system. Lets see wot happens tomorrow gus says were gunna be more attack minded we shall see

I'd argue that during poyet a reign we've played best with three hard working midfielders, we miss colback currently, Larsson and Catts have been decent this year, but are missing that third man, rodwell hasn't come through, and cork would add some needed height to our small side

I miss Ki. Thought he was class until after the cup final.

We've played very well at times with three hard working midfielders, I'd argue it's when we've been taking points off the top teams. But we've not created down the middle all season, all our goals have come from set plays or the flanks. Fact is I'd rather have an attacking threat from both flanks and the middle of the pitch, not just the flanks. Rodwell will come good when Gus realises he's a DM imo. Those late runs should be a perk of him playing DM, not the defining factor in trying to turn him into a box to box or AM. Like I said, I don't think this system needs a box to box, but if we're switching between the two systems as we should do then I think a box to box is vital to the old system.

We miss Ki more than we'll ever miss Colback, the gulf in class is massive.

Ki was class, but inconsistent. Of the three Jacks, C, C, and R, I know my last choice, would be the one we are stuck with.
